PvP frost mage mastery or crit?

Hey Peeps,

I been following a few good pvp frost mages since 4.0.6 and recently there has been a shift in stats stacking. It use to be crit stacking (around 25% use to be the norm) but recently it seems to have shifted to mastery max crit% i see is around 20% if even that. Can anyone explain to me why this sudden change in stats stacking for PvP?

Go mastery for insane shatter combos.

Get Soulcasket and/or Moonwell Chalice trinkets for epic amounts of mastery.

Get DMC:Volcano and Soulcasket, Pop trinkets when they sit in a deep and kill them in a shatter, and stack the crap out of mastery. Have fun :P
