Building a PC, tips and questions.

Alright, been a gamer for a long time.

Obviously i play WoW, and till a while ago it was the only game i ever wanted to play on PC. I figured id just play the graphic intensive games on my Xbox. And tbh it worked fine for 4 years or so-ish. Halo, CoD you name it it was all available on my console. My laptop (what i currently play wow on) was my wow machine basically. Able to run it on med-high settings fine.

Then Rift came out, i don't play rift anymore (sorta waiting on GW2) but if anything from the Rift experience its that my laptop isn't going to cut it for these new mmos arriving this year. When i originally purchased my laptop i didnt know nearly as much about computers as i do now, however i still need to learn a lot.

To make a long story short, I'm looking forward to upgrading my PC to something more suitable for games arriving this year. (SW:tor GW2 sky rim. what have you)

My budget is around 700-950$ (flexible but im a student and part time only goes so far xD)

    Anyway i have 2 questions.

    1. For the listed price "can" i get a PC that can max out next gen games? (If not pretty darn close)

    2. Also, are there any builds anyone would like to recommend?

    Thanks again for reading folks

Your looking at a build between.

    $700 Build
    Case: Antec 200 $49.99

    Processor: Intel i5 2500k $219.99
CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212 $49.99 == OVER BUDGET
    RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 4GB $38.99
Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F3 $64.99
Optical Disc Drive: Sony Optiarc SATA DVD/CD Burner $19.99
Graphics Card: Asus ENGTX 460 768 MB $144.99
    Total: 731.92 USD == 771.91

    $1000 Build
    Case: CoolerMaster Haf 912 $59.99
    Power Supply: Corsair TX650 $89.99
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68X UD-3 $169.99

Graphics Card: MSI GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr $249.99
    Total: 1009.91 USD

    For a hybrid build:

    I5 2500k
Add a CPU cooler if you want to OC (Hyper 212 for low ocing (around 4,5) for higher a noctua nh-d14 (if you pick a noctua you need Low profile RAM))
    Corsair TX 650/ XFX 650
Gtx 560 TI (Msi or Asus are good brands)
Spinpoint f3 (size depending on what you want)
    4GB 1600mhz RAM (Corsair vengeance or g.skill)
Asrock z68 extreme3 gen3 (Cheaper then the Gigabyte and almost the same features)
    Haf 912/ Bitfenix shinobi

It can max out Games currently (atleast at gaming mode (no aa/af) and some even with aa/af) so your should be good for the next games that are comming)

does this need to include keyboard, mouse, monitor, and windows?

if so, I present you with the following

    haf 912
    MSi P67
    GTX 460
    500w 80+ PSU
    i5 2500k
    A70 heatsink
    4GB 1600MHz
    SpinPoint
    22" monitor

    Add any keyboard + mouse = $900.00
If you don't need a monitor, change the GPU to
    GTX 560 Ti
