    Help! Acer P235h HDMI input

Hai, i recently bought a second screen for my PC which only has a DVI input. So i plugged my old screen (the acer P235h) with HDMI in the PC, and it comes up with "Input not supported".. so now im like WTF. It has HDMI support, a plughole, and no support??

Can someone help me with this please? Would be very happy!

Can't give you an answer on "input not supported" yet, but do you have the option to connect them both via DVI? Also, what videocard do you use?

Looking at the card on the Nvidia site now. The only thing I can think of is that the HDMI and DVI output is shared, meaning you can only use one of the two at a time.
To use a second screen you would have to use the VGA port to make it work. It may very well be a complete other problem, but it's the only thing I can think of so far.

Hmm no i dont agree on the sharing thing. Before i moved i had my LCD tv on the HDMI, and the monitor on DVI, so it should work tbh

Did a little more searching. If you go into the Nvidia Control Panel, you find the option "Set up multiple displays" under "Display"

There should be a list of monitors connected, and if the second screen is not show you can use "My display is not shown..."
    Maybe this helps.

Did you make sure the monitor/tv you're plugging the HDMI to supports the resolution you have selected in your graphics card software?
