I can happily tell everyone that at 6:30 I got some sleep! I can also tell you that my brother is sooooo dead when our parents come home, seeing that the house + the garden pretty much looks like shite. :3

We can voice our opinions but in the end you should only listen to your own. If your gut is telling you that you need sleep because you have to work/go to school and your brother doesn't care about you, go with your gut.

I dunno, why not? Maybe OP is bored. He probably can't sleep, so what else to do then make a topic asking what to do? I'm not knockin it, just it's something to do. Let's other people have something to do. If someone wants to do it and it's not causing trouble we should let em.

But here's what I say. Being a dick back won't solve anything and will only cause more problems in the long run.

What I mean by that, though, is if you've tried talking to him and being respectful and all that jazz then that's not dickish. As long as you tried your best and warned him that you'll call the cops or whatever, then do what you have to do. Just try to be a cool cat if you can.

A majority of threads here start off with people asking for other people's opinions. And that's what a lot of threads in general are like on any forum.

My brother is having a VERY loud party downstairs that probably won't end until 5 in the morning. My brother too inconsiderate to respect me when I ask him to turn the music down so I won't get any sleep at all tonight for sure.

But yeah, calling the cops is about as colossal of a dick move that anyone could possibly attempt to make. Calling the cops will lead to fines, and potential jail time if there were any minors present. It was in her house, bro. Plus, not everyone loves parties and some people reject invitations, and there are actually some people that want to sleep.

There is a reason why those cops make you pay fines or send you to jail. It's called "being an asshole and not caring about those around you that you disturb with your shitty music and your obnoxious yelling". Some people go to work you know? Some people have exams. Some people actually have a life to live and goals in sight, and I would never take that from my brother if he was holding a loud party (if he ever actually did that is...). I say either man up, put in some earplugs, and go to sleep, or go downstairs, get hammered, and call in sick for work and show up an hour or two later.

I wouldn't throw a party with my 20 year old friends. And honestly, read before you reply, I clearly stated and shall quote myself ipsis verbis; "I wouldn't call them to my house because I don't need the police to settle my business(...)" - if it were in my house and if it was indeed my brother I wouldn't send him to jail, be it because I could do a better job than the police myself and/or because I probably wouldn't want him to be locked up (lol.doublestandards, I'd do it if it was just some random guy and not my brother).
