There are some songs that give me the goosebumps and some I want to be played on my funeral. There are also some songs that make me want to travel 10.000km, walk through Death Valley while listening to them and die there, but they are not that epic. This song defines epicness.

Maybe the reason why I started playing WoW, don't know if the atmosphere works without understanding the text - it's about the Horde. And maybe it is not that epic, because it's is about a video game, but then again, this video game defined a new sub sub culture and alot of songs are about sub cultures and the feelings/visions people belonging to them have.

I can think of a few songs that can fit into this category, but if I had to pick one, I'd probably say that it's "You I Need" by Amorphis.

I can't imagine just having one I could choose above all others.
The Light & The Glass by Coheed and Cambria is one. The build up to that ending is definitely epic. The Final Cut by them is also really powerful.
Rylynn by Andy McKee, though perhaps not conventionally epic, is indescribably fantastic for me; almost all of his songs are.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I -V) by Pink Floyd is just mind-blowing, as are the songs following it.

I'm not the Devil. I'm much, much older. I watched the Beginning and I will see the End. I am the dark behind the stars. I am the dark inside you all.

Skip to about 3:30 when it really starts to build up and just sit back and remember, how effing awesome the 90's were to grow up in.
