    Good deal?

So I want to upgrade my shitty AMD processor with an intel i5, and I was just wondering whether this was good deal or not?

Mainly only need input from UK people, as the US people will think it is way overpriced if you do a conversion, as that's just the way it is.

First and foremost, many of the forum regulars are aware of the currency exchange rates when it comes to hardware going from $ to £ to €. I reckon it's a bit rude to exclude the input from American users just because of the currency/country.

That being said, that deal isn't that impressive. I'd actually go so far and say that it's a bit expensive.

    ~£325

I wouldn't go for Patriot RAM myself though.

Agreed with above, it's not a bad deal, but you could save yourself some cash and get slightly better parts.

    i5 - £160
    p8p67 - £110
    corsair vengeance 1600Mhz 8gb - £45

You could upgrade to the pro edition with the money you save, or perhaps a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3-B3. I personally wouldn't get Patriot RAM either, but that's preference I guess.

I didn't say totally no input from US users, also made no mention of mods, so where you are getting that from I have no idea. Also i would rather save myself and others the trouble of price converting and what not.

OT: thanks for the link, just gonna check them out now.

I never mentioned anything about moderators, but forum regulars. They are the people that usually end up helping people that come here for help, like yourself. Even mentioning the whole "mainly only need input from UK people, as the US people will think it is way overpriced" is unnecessary. No hard feelings, I just wanted to clarify for future reference.

And you are welcome. Usually when looking at a bundle like that you want it to be 10-20% off.
