What does resilience exactly do nowadays?

Been afk for a while, I believe the resilience mechanism been changed. So, by simply reading the description of it, does that only provide damage reduction (from players, normal and crit)? Does it lower the opponent's crit chance any more? Any other effects besides the damage reduction? Thanks.

Resilience reduces damage dealt to you by players and their pets. That's it. Some might argue that it also ruins PvP, steals babies etc. but those are just rumors ;P

Doesn't reduce chance to be crit. Just flat damage reduction (including normal, crit, and dots)
