    Norm Majordomo questions

I was told it is possible to keep him in cat for most of the fight is this a decent way to do him? i know he is more manageable in cat form as long as people don't stand in fire. Our best guild on server are keeping him in cat even on heroic. but they occasionally switch to scorpion for a few secs to despawn the fire rings. any other guilds have pointers on this strat? any input will be appreciated.

no point for normal mode, its not as much of a dps race and you dont have to worry about losing concentration from cleaves

although i suppose you could, if you really wanna 2 heal it

in normal, scorpion phase > cat phase, IMO. Casters do more DPS as they don't have to move.

Yep, in normal, especially without that concentration gauge, scorpion is best, as long as your healers can handle the cleave heal.

    Start fight in Scorpion.

    8 stacks (scorpion)
    7 stacks (cat)
6 stacks (scorpion) (Living Bomb debuff time) (Personal C/Ds + 1 raidwide, we use Disc CD here)
    7 stacks (cat)
5 stacks (scorpion) Bloodlust after 4th cleave (Personal C/Ds + 1 raidwide, we use Shaman Spirit Link Totem here)
6 stacks (cat) (Flame Orb time) <<Hardest phase, try to get tank+melee to take one orb and ranged/healers to take the other. Fairly RNG dependant.
4 stacks (scorpion) <hopefully dies here, if not....
7 stacks (cat) < better die here.

No need for keeping him in cat in normal mode. we even two healed him without any problems and with long scorpion phases.
    with three heal we do
    9 scorpion
    6-7 cat
    9 scorpion
6 cat < he dies here in our group
    5-8 scorpion
cat till hes dead (when we first killed him)

Our healers push for 11 stacks initially. It helps a lot and is easily done if your healers aren't braindead.

we get 13 our first scorpion phase with popping hero at 5th cleave, its usually dead or close by orb phase

We did this initially (with Bloodlust) and it hurt healers mana too bad. By the time we got to Flame Orbs all the healers were OOMed and out of mana c/d's. Probably not a l2p issue considering we've done fairly well. However, our fights lasted so long because we've been 3 healing it.. Might give 2 healing a shot.

11 stacks in the first phase isnt hard to heal but its always good to save some cooldowns for the 2nd scorpion phase (seeds debuff stuff) and when you do only around 9 stacks you have more than enough time to spread out without another cleave killing someone.

But you should just try and find your own way of doing it... majordomo is probably the 2nd easiest boss in firelands normal anyway

Our guild does it like this on normal mode:

    Scorpion 13 stacks
    Cat Form 7 stacks
    Scorpion 6 stacks
    Cat Form 7 stacks
    Scorpion 4 stacks

He tends to die after that otherwise you get like 1 or less stacks during the Cat Form

Why on earth would you Hero/Lust just before moving and spreading out?!? Wastes a good 5-10 seconds of hero right there, considering your healers should easily be able to heal to at least 8 stacks with a hero up.

The way we do it, for normal mode:

12 scorpion (Lust/Hero immediately after 4th cleave, allows full duration use by healers + dps before spreading out after 12th cleave)
    6 cat
    6 scorpion (other CDs)
    6 cat
8 scorpion (all original CDs are back up now)

Typically for the first scorpion, we will AM 6-7 slash, Prot paladin raid wall 8-9, and spirit link / priest bubble the last 3 or so cleaves. People MUST be quick to move out, as soon as his energy bar fills for his 12th slash people will need to move in seperate directions. Stampeding Roar helps alot as well. Using hero early allows it to be a healer as well as DPS cooldown. You're looking to get the boss to 60-65% by the first cat phase, 70% at worst.

During the 2nd scorpion phase CDs such as rallying cry are used, with Tranqs (typically from Boomkins for us) used in the 8 scorpion phase at 4 and 6 cleaves.

If your dps is good enough, you won't even hit the fire orbs phase. You can choose to extend the cat phases to 7-8 stacks if you want, however we have never had the need. If your dps is a little low, you'll likely have to manage the Fire Orbs for around 30-40 seconds, which is still not very demanding.

    Best of luck
