You get it when you get it. I am assuming by early access, they mean a pre determined time before release.

the game is still in beta, it will be at least 2-3 months. probably longer than that.

from what we have heard, the earlier you enter your preorder code, the earlier your access, so if you are definitely going to play, may as well pre order now
