Huge FPS drops in particle intense moments

So, I've bought a new laptop recently, which is by all means better than my old one and so I was able to play most of the games that were lagging pretty badly before. It runs WoW anywhere between 60 and 30 FPS, depending on situation, 10 man raids are around 30-40 most of the time. But I've noticed that I'm having some rather big drops in FPS when it comes to some particle intense situations, like smoke, fog, some fire and such. And by big, I mean around 20 or so FPS loss. In wow it's not that easy to notice, but just now I was doing Anraphet in HoO and during Omega stance my FPS dipped below 20, although normally it was almost 50.

This also happens in other games. As an example I'm running deus ex without much trouble (though not perfect), but every time I have a cutscene with a heli taking off or landing it goes down to slide show. I'm really lost why this is happening. I'll attach my dxdiag if that may help:

Well, your graphics card isn't all that strong to begin, which may or may not be the problem.

Are your drivers up to date?
What setting are you at?

This is a common problem with laptop gpu's, they just aren't that strong, and these particles take a lot of power.

80 shaders and a 64-bit memory bus will do that to ya. Turn down the particle detail level or some other video settings and it'll ease the GPU load.

Well, I have particle density turned down, but that does not solve the problem in other games. Also, I used to use Radeon HD 2600 which is even worse, but at least my performance was stable (as if always bad, but no jumping like that).

Well, now I know why it happens, how about how to fix it? ^_^ Is it possible to hard disable some of this load? I mean I can disable things like AA directly in my CCC and it will override my game settings, but I was not able to find something for this one.
