    How will my computer run?

    SWTOR
    Skyrim
    BF3
    Dead Island
    Here is my info
    Windows 7 64 bit.
    AMD Phenom II x2 511 processor (2CPUs), ~3.4 ghz.
    5120 MB RAM.
    AMD Radeon HD 6790 HI5,
I'm thinking about upgrading the video card, maybe the processer. I'd like to run everything around medium with 30+ fps but i'm not sure if this machine can handle it. Thanks!
(Also maybe you can recommend a video card or processor for semi-cheap)

Alrighty... I'm confused by a few things here. Aside from that you should upgrade your CPU long before your graphics card (Idealy something along the lines of a Phenom x4 955 BE or so- if you want to stick to AMD), how are you at 5 GB of RAM? 3 RAM sticks? If so, it may well be better to remove the 1 GB RAM stick, as it will allow the remaining 4 GB to operate better.

Some info on your motherboard would be helpful

CPU is going to hurt you in most (if not all) of these games. That's just my $0.02.

An interesting read for those looking for a "budget build": http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...e-updated.html

    Or option 3

    -Xfire two 6790's.
The 6870 has quite a lot more power than the 6870, meaning that if you did not have a graphics card to begin with it would be suggested.

If you want to upgrade your CPU, you can use the same board and use this CPU. (Other versions of it are factory overclocked but cost more.)

6 cores will NOT be used in gaming. Quad-core seems to be the sweet spot right now. Try this one.
