lightning capacitor stealth buff

i have three guildies that were reporting a buff in the trinket last night, the damage seems to have been increased by 200% and no fires at a maximum of 5 stacks as well as takes buffs like arcane tactics into account anyone else notice this? ill put logs up from last nights rag in a second when i find them

Before we get the 30 million threads about BiS trinkets/"Which trinket is best for me????": It's nothing 'official' I guess but Zakalwe on EJ posting that the trinket is likely BiS for destro and affliction, DMV still beating it out for demo. (sadface)

Well, the Heroic version now is undoubtedly BiS, but now one must wonder where the regular version falls into place. It may be worth replacing either RoZ or DMC:V as aff/destro is the buff in damage was large enough.

for affliction i see it being possibly ahead of RoZ in reg but not ahead of DMC:V

That's what I was thinking. It's hard to say though because of being able to time RoZ with BoD and Demonsoul. Then again, it is a static 406 Int... tough call.

so from what im reading on ej people who simmed bis demo saw a bigger increase with rag trink + moonwell than rag trink + volcano. for affliction i havent seen a definite answer but i think its going to replace one of the 2 trinkets(rune + volcano)

edit : scratch that. turns out to be a 260% dmg buff so its still not enough to beat dmv + chalice. other specs it might tho.

Doing about 4% to 5% of my total dmg in varies heroic mode fights as afflict lock.

That is 1k dps in the proc itself - definitely BiS.

ya messing around at the dummies it was doing 5.7% of my dmg. which trinket would you think it would replace for affliction rune or dmc:v

I phased out DMC:V to get a better control of my dots with the on-use of Zeth. And use Engineering +int gloves to refresh dots.


If i have tailoring (i.e. lightweave) as my 2ndary profression, i may have used the DMC:V instead for the potentially massive INT stacks with lightweave+DMCV+engineering gloves+power torrent - and DMCV's higher uptime/proc chance.

so its been simmed that the new BiS for affliction is rune + HVPLC with rune + normal VPLC right behind it. BiS for demo is still dmc:V and chalice. when i got the trinket i kept it in my bag for so long cuz i knew that 1 day it would get buffed. feels good not to use a 359 anymore lol

Maybe three with that exact name, but there are other trinkets with the same effect. Four total to be exact, not counting duplicates or heroic versions.
