Need some help figuring out what's wrong.

So i know this is going to be pretty vague and all but...

My friend uses a program known as dtella, and when they try and open it it comes up with a message saying to check a .exe file under its folder to find out whats wrong. Upon opening the file

Is repeated a few times in the actual notepad. Does anyone have any clue what's going on or what can be done to help it. So far i've heard things like turn off your firewall and it's a registry error but i'm not sure what's really going on.

Have you tried visiting the dtella website for tech support. It would make more sense to visit the specific programs website than a general computer forum.

Going to agree with the above, if you have an issue specific with a program you really should contact them prior to even thinking about going to a general computer forum. I haven't even heard of dtella until now. >_>

That tells me the thread cannot do what it wants due to a restricted profile.

Right click the program 'dtella' and left click 'Run as Administrator' and see if the permissions error goes away then.
