At lorule, got bow upgraded, and bought the boomerang, it's hella easy to get rupees in that game

Always felt bad about beating Serena but I felt especially douchey when she and I saved the pokeball factory CEO and he says to us "Well what would you like as a reward? A Big Nugget or A Master Ball?" and She says "It's okay, you choose first Romeo."

I didn't care about beating my rival senseless in these games because I found the whole crew of friends obnoxious, Calem/Serena included.

I did, however, always feel bad for Wally. He's some poor sick kid and you beat the snot out of him repeatedly. >.<

One of my favorite rivals was, surprisingly, Cheren. Even though I didn't really like gen 5's story, I really liked the character development of someone slowly realizing it wasn't them who was going to be the very best, like no one ever was... even though that's what they wanted.

In terms of the anime, I prefered Paul from Sinnoh. A guy with a completely different mindset on how to raise pokemon, albeit he actually beat the goody-two-shoes Ash an awful lot. Then them ending it all on a handshake. Felt so good.

In terms of the games, Silver. He's the closest game rival to Paul that I've seen. I liked his character and his story.

Never did really get into Gary/Blue tbh.
