Anyway, my favourite rival would have to be Gary. I wasn't a huge fan of N, and the 3rd/4th gen rivals were boring. Silver was cool though.

If there's one thing Gen 1 actually did the best, it's music, perhaps tied with 2.
There's only ever a select few songs I like in the new ones.

They seemed to try too hard with Black2/White2. A lot of their remixes just add random sounds to places its not really needed and when they didnt remix anything its just copy pasted from Black/White.
I liked the Hoenn battle theme though.
