I know. But Butterfree is pretty terrible for playthroughs as well. Obviously everyone can use whatever he wants, but using a pokemon that is about as strong as your other Pokemon were 10-20 levels earlier just doesnn't make that much sense to me.

Seems very offensive, but very squishy. There's a lot of ground, water, rock, ghost and dark out there....

Edit - also, Heracross. Hmm, I kinda have a group of go-to choices that I pick depending on availability and group makeup.

Butterfree, quagsire and escavalier I'll always try to keep on my team. Obviously I can't always trade so I replace escavalier with ferrothorn. Escavalier is vying for my fav spot over butterfree with it's super strong defense and strong S.def plus it's only weak against fire.

Anyone else annoyed by the fact that floating pokemon get hit by ground moves? Like Klinklang doesn't have levitate but he floats so how the F does earthquake hit him.

Sometimes yeah.
Also why isn't ice super effective against bugs? Unless I'm mistaken there aren't any active bugs during winter? Is there a bug that lives in snow?

Maybe because bugs avoid the winter? So they don't have to deal with the snow and ice

I didn't dare to say that, to be fair I find Bidoof himself to be ugly too.

But you get jumped by fans saying: GENERATION 1 NOOB or something alike.

Now, I don't care if there's people who haven't played past Gen 1 or 2, what really bothers me is when people start saying stupid shit like "GEN ONE IS THE BEST GEN AND ALL THE NEW POKEMON LOOK STUPID!!!" and then criticize something like Garbador or the ice cream cone one as though Gen 1 didn't have its own share of stupid ones. They also won't even give any of the newer gens a chance and also act like pokemon is for kids, etc etc.
