Well it was reported that sadly Ash Ketchum has passed away. His obituary stated he finally had caught them all... sadly there was not enough penicillin to hold off the various infections. He will be missed.
Game Freak said due to the event they will do a special Japan only give away, Mega Glalie and special surfs up Pikachu give away. Strong emphasis on North American and European persons to not apply.
Beyond that not much else.
