I didn't cry at Vegeta atonement scene, mostly because I knew he would just come back. Seriously the only time I got sad in DBZ is when Future Gohan was killed, that was fucking brutal. And Piccolo speech to Gohan in GT.
So I was just watching Vegeta's Final Flash against Cell, and I was wondering, if it directly hit Cell, would it of killed him?

More importantly, why was the Buu saga bomb more powerful than the Frieza saga one? I know Goku puts his own energy into the bomb as well, but it seems he forgot there was a whole universe out there that could give him energy instead of just people on earth.
i believe it were stronger due to absorbing more energy. He took all of Goku&Friends energy this time, which is ALOT considering the multiple super sayians + mystic gohan.
Someone also said that it does more dmg to evil, and honestly i find kid buu to be more evil than frieza (though im not 100% sure this is true)
The Frieza Saga bomb was from Namek and some of the surrounding planets. Almost all life on Namek had already been wiped out.
As for asking for energy vs taking it, it could be that Earth was too far for him to take it directly. It's possible that the stronger Goku is, the greater the range he can take energy from, but he was really far from Earth while making the Buu bomb.
Chances are, the planet of the Kais is far away from any living planets, and was unable to forcibly take enough energy to defeat Buu, so he needed energy sent.
