because everyone requires flasks for raiding

also they are the only profession that can make truegold which is basically needed for every decent recipe

can also make volatiles which are also used in most professions.


it's probably the most useful profession.

if you are a serious raider then yes you need an alt with alch that is either elixir or pot spec, or know someone who has one and have them make you flask/pots on a regular basis.

Well nothing is a required profession, but it's definitely a useful one to have. I don't find it the most profitable but certainly a good one to have with plenty of potential for making profit and being good for your own use

I highly doubt that it is a required proffession or even the most useful one.
Everyone has atleast 1 friend that is an alchemist and they'll probably make stuff you need for you.

But yes it definetly is a nice profession to have.
