Verify Java Version = Firefox shuts down >?< !

I've messed about with Java, and now It's got-a mind of It's own. >.<
To start with, I double click my Minecraft Icon and nothing happens. So I thought about playing It in browser, as I click Single-Player/Multiplayer It goes Bye Bye.

So when I thought to check my Java Version, When I press that lovely red button, Firefox closes down.
Not to say Java doesn't work, I can play other games that require Java. Just what's the current fix to make Java behave ?

reinstall java, if firefox isn't working or w.e not sure what you meant try another web browser
