Noctua NH-D14 need suggestions for a new case

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide ^^

Looking for full tower case I would like to keep it under $200USD that includes shipping but willing to go $300USD if it has all the features I want. Feel free to suggest a mid tower if you think it will work for me, I'm open minded

    Requested features:
-Able to fit the NH-D14 without struggling to get it in the case
-Good air flow, going to do some overclocking and I dont want a space heater for a case :P
-cable management options (current case has none )
-Able to fit 305mm (12") video cards. Must be able to do this without modding, if the case has the option of reconfiguring or removing a HDD cage to make extra room that is fine.

Two cases I have been looking at are the HAF-X and the NZXT Phantom but I'm looking for any and all suggestions for comparison.

Sorry to use your thread but I have a similiar question.

Does the NH-D14 fit in an Antec1200 with the side case on? (i wanna use the NH-D14 in my next build using my antec 1200 )

Antec 1200 is an amazing case. I've had mine for a few years now and couldn't ask for much better.
There's tons of room for expansion and hard drives, cable management through the back walls. It will not require any sort of modifications to fit large graphics cards unless you have more than 6 full side hard drives. The case essentially has 3 hard drive cages.
It has tons of fans and you can even add more. Overall it's a great case and highly recommended.

The Noctua NH-D14 will work fine in the Antec 1200 as long as there is no side fan. The side of the case itself clears by about half an inch.

im currently using an older noctua cooler, the Noctua NH-U9B-SE2 and my case has about 4 inches space left between the cooler and the side cover

The NH-D14 is much larger than the NH-U9B-SE2.

i know that, i should have clarified in my post but was just letting him know that with the smaller older model there is still 4 inches free space in this case.

Noctua list the NH-D14 at 160mm. 1''=25.4mm so four extra inches should be enough

Edit: And the review I just looked up said the black chaser has 180mm clearance, so i doubt it would fit with a side fan.

i dont think it would either looking at mine now, its exactly parallel with the top of the side fan mount, and mines the smaller one, unless you use a smaller side fan, its rigged for a 200mm side fan

Some indepth review of the case, http://www.motherboards.org/content/...on-case-review

I really think the inner Features are amazing. Check it out. I know the color is ugly but its a pretty efficient case when it comes to cooling things off.

You already mentioned the best candidate, HAF-X...falls right on the $200 mark. Other options are Corsair's 650D/650T, Silverstone's innovative 90-degree-rotated Raven/Fortress series, and of course my own case CM Storm Sniper.
These are all great cases with beautiful looks and top-notch cable management and space. Personally I wouldn't buy an NZXT Phantom, way too much plastic for my likes.

Oh I completely forgot about Lian-Li!
$200-300 will get you one of their full-aluminum beasts, unmatched build quality. The only gripe I have with their aluminum towers is that they don't paint the interior and lack the new features that CoolerMaster and Corsair have on their cases, they look fairly old-fashioned from the inside.
I was *sooooo* close to buying the $99 PC-K62 (steel, all black, toolless stuff) but ended up getting a fantastic deal on a Storm Sniper.

Prolly the most solidly built case, its giant, bigger than the HAFX, and it has pretty good cooling.

800D easily ranks #1 on my list of favorite cases but it's out of this initial $200 budget and it's features are pretty excessive for his needs, it's mainly aimed at enthusiast-level watercooling builds.
For air cooling I'd save some money and go with a HAF-X, especially if he likes the rugged military looks and the red LED fans.

Cooler Master HAF - X, Corsair Obsidian 800D, BitFenix Colosus.... all are huge and really really well built.

Wow... the specs on newegg list the storm sniper .9" wider than the HAF-X would not have guessed that. I dont like all that plastic on the phantom either. I noticed the lian-li's were not painted on the inside as well (the ones i looked at anyway) but none of them had a see through panel either so that wouldnt bother me much.

    Edit:
    Dimensions(L x W x H) HAF-X: 23.6" x 9.1" x 21.7" Storm Sniper: 22.30" x 10.00" x 21.70"

Storm Sniper is still classified as a "mid tower" lol >_>
I could fit a 360mm rad on top and 240mm rad at the bottom, there's so much space.

    Interior pic of mine:

That graphics card is basically 11.6" and still has a ton of space between itself and the HDD area.
edit: Oh I removed my HDD bay >_<
