If they were fast to get, and didn't need anymore? Yes.
If it means bringing in someone for months to ever raid? Hell no.

I would rather have someone make their rogue alt their main and get the daggers instead of getting useless gold. I don't think a lot of people would pass on that. You can go back to your old main anytime anyway. And if no one wants to do it I would still give it to alts first.
Legendaries are worth more than anything else in this game. The only time I would sell it is when all the guildmembers have it on their mains and alts.

Only because it was pretty fast to get and everyone had one so guilds started to sell parts of the quests.
If my guild did this I would leave. I raid below my ability skill wise so I get to raid with only people I enjoy playing with and have known for ages. If they start bringing in new people for gold that incentive would be good. Good thing I know they would never do that and we have plenty of gold.
Most guilds that could sell one dont need gold add in the amount of time it takes to get one and gl getting a raid to keep grinding out FL so some random sap can get a wpn. Even in a good 25 man it takes a few weeks to get and a 10 man raid could never sell this it would take months for them to get it. I highly doubt we see this happening few sold the Uld mace and ICC axe and those took way less time to get.

Who cares how much time it takes ? All you need is people willing to pay. On my server I've allready seen raid selling orbs of the first part of staff's quest. You don't need to sell te whole thing. Just like in WOLK, sell parts of the legendary (souls farming, orb farming and the 3 actions to do on bosses).
In our alt raid, perhaps... but you're looking at probably a 250-500k down payment, plus a weekly upkeep fee of probably 100-150k minimum. (figure 1.5-2 mil gold overall).
If I was willing to spend upwards of a million just to buy 25 Living Embers (before it was switched to Eternals) to shave a few weeks off, people shouldn't blink an eye at 2 mil plus for the whole thing.

Not worth the trouble for any amount of gold. I don't think my guild would survive if we had to bench an established raider on every fight for someone who paid to get in. Not to mention none of us are interested in carrying someone through 10m hardmodes (and it can't always be done on every fight anyways) -- same goes for 25m hardmodes for many guilds although 10m is obviously not practical for selling legendaries anyway.
As a 10m guild with no rogues, no, we simply don't have the ability to carry someone at the expense of subbing another for weeks/months. If I were part of a 25m guild with no rogues, I'd certainly consider it since you could gear a raid pretty quickly with the amount of BoE's you could buy with the cash. I would never sell the staff since so many classes need it.
25m guild, made our first staff this week, the player transfered server less than 24 hours after finishing it.
So yea, getting paid for it would of been nice.
You would most likely not be able to buy it with gold but when it comes to real money thats when the pictures comes in. This is of course against blizzard TOS but you can example sponsor a guild or pay real money so you can in secret get the legendary. I dont know wich guild would accept that though. But dont count on offering gold.
I run an alt run that is about halfway through 10m heroics at present - sure we have an alt getting a legendary, but to build war funds for our mains in 4.3? Sure.
At present I use the alt run to sell/pass the boes and embers to assist with our main raids consumables and to gear new chars as people reroll / old guildies come back to the game and want to join in. Nothing wrong with that. Selling main raid legendaries? gtfo!
As to why our gbank is perpetually empty, I blame it on the lack of bots on our server - 400-500g per stack of fish... sigh.
Never! We have already talked to our DK dps about re-rolling to Rogue for the sole purpose of having a Rogue in our roster. I like the fact that one of the reasons behind not giving Feral Cats a Legendary was that it would mean guilds not using a Bear as MT would be gimped - well guess what? Guilds not having a Rogue will be gimped just as much, hence the re-rolling. Makes no sense imo but OT, guilds who are actually able to complete a Legendary, wouldn't sell it. Unless we're like at the end at the x-pac. By then it will probably be like with Shadowmourne.
