now i have found 2 new KB's that have caught my eye. One is a SteelSeries other is a Logitek.

    SteelSeries Merk Stealth http://steelseries.com/products/keyb...s-merc-stealth

    or

    Logitek Gaming Keyboard G510 http://www.logitech.com/en-za/gaming...s/devices/7246

Anyone have any exp with either of these 2 KB's ? both around $129 as thats usual price for the SS merk and sale price for the G510.

    Thanks in advance

Personally, I think SteelSeries keyboards are lower quality. Perhaps you should describe what you want from the keyboard rather than just the keyboards their selves.

Comfy gaming (WoW) and easy to use, i like the look of the SS as looks like you have a lot more buttons closer to the left hand for skills.

Those macro keys are absolutley pointless. It's a crutch for your gameplay, really. The entire purpose is to simulate a better WASD cluster, because people can't hit 6 through = on their keyboard. Don't bind to those buttons, use your current keyboard and bind to around the wasd keys instead. Better raid performance, less money spent. (The Stealth Merc is really niche, and only honestly good for MMO's. Buying MMO specific hardware is stupid, as at any point in time could wow release a stupid update and you could quit. *cough 4.2*

Get a mechanical keyboard, Steelseries 6 or 7G or Razer BlackWidow. There are some other good ones from other brands like Qpad and Mionix. They are a bit costy but I'd say it totally worth it.

I have Das Keyboard Ultimate and love it.

However seems to go the opposite direction than your choices.

I use a g510 logitech keyboard worked fine first 6 months then it started to mess up now when I hit W and tap D my too. Toggles walk run and makes moving right a pain .

I am thinking of trying a razor Kb

Mionix Zibal 60. It's a mechanical keyboard with cherry black switches. Personally, I think macro buttons are a waste of space.

Was there something you didn't like about the X6?

I was going to recommend the X6. It's a very affordable and enjoyable keyboard without all the useless clunk Razer, Logitech or Roccat make you pay extra for.

If you want a long-term investment, take a look at some mechanical keyboards. Some of them are quite cool, but also very loud.
