It's the same for me. I've never gotten a beta key, but I've also never really cared about getting into beta, knowing that I'd get bored too quickly. This is different though, I played DII for 6 years without pause and still start it up occasionally. I have no doubt I'll enjoy playing this BETA. Not to mention that I do post feedback :P

Its probably pure coincidence, but i have neer gotten into any beta, and i know 3 people that get into every single beta in the first 2 waves every single time

almost seems more than coincidence sometimes

I'm pretty sure that the beta for the EU has not started yet. I base this on the D3 EU forums where no one has put their hand up to getting one yet.

Listen it is just the main press release first. All the rest of the beta invites will go out after that. Just because you don't have an invite RIGHT now doesn't mean anything. To the Europeans: the invites are sent out 9-5 in the states so it is worth checking in the evening and early morning rather than during the day. Check out the blue post response:

Sadly that means i'll be playing other games instead of new blizz releases.

Torchlight was created by the same people that created Diablo and D2. they were let go by Blizzard. so um yeah...kind of explains the similarities. i still look forward to Diablo way more than Torchlight though.

I'm in the EU and we got some keys, however these are normal (promo/press) keys, not the ones sent from battle.net. Anyone in EU got in trough the opt in yet?

Gaming Press usually get invites first, too get the buzz out there then probably the general gamer will get an invite but i wouldn't hold ya breath

A small clue about when beta invites go out:

According to this blue post, beta invites usually go out during normal working hours: 9am - 6 pm Pacific Time. Right now, it 5 am there as far as I can tell, so there are still 4 hours until they get into the office.

Considering the EU beta also takes place on US servers, this time schedule might apply to europeans too. No clue if that's the case, but it is a possibility.
