Most 2500Ks, note: most, can get to 40x, some even as high as 43x without needing to start messing about with voltages.

Yeah I just tried 40x then and it didn't need any changes . Going to leave it at that I think, seems to be a pretty big boost as it is xD

It had such a boost I didn't even realise I had prime95 on in the background while playing BC2 xD

Well I've decided I'm going to use http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpu...ore-i5-2500k/4 to push it to 4.5GHz after reading it I understood it more and feel confident in trying it. One part worries me though is this:
Quit the voltage menu all the way to the main menu where you should next select Integrated Peripherals. Set the PCH SATA Control Mode to ACHI (or RAID if you're making an array) and leave the options alone. We've disabled the the eSATA 3 Controller and Onboard Serial Port 1 because we're not going to use either.
Will that wipe my HDD or anything like that? :S

Many motherboards will do this after a bluescreen crash that was caused by a bad overclock.

Odd it hadn't bluescreened since I changed it from 4.5GHz to 4.3GHz. Ohwell dropped it to 4.1, see if that works >.>
