I'm a healer/support player at heart, when DPSing I prefer ranged. I also like classes with a naturalistic vibe. So my favorites are Elementalist and Ranger.

The guardian profession just appeals to me. Alot of variety, weapon wise. Also doesn't hurt to have some heavy armor so I can take a few hits. And I'm a support player as well, so that helps.

I'm not sure but for the ones I can see so far I'm kind of leaning toward Guardian because it's like a Paladin so I can spell cast and be melee. Might be a Norn as well, but I'll have to see if there is an open beta etc. so I can see them all better.

I think I'll pass on elementalist, ranger and thief for the time being. I can't really think of any rational reason for it, but non of them seem very exciting to me. Necromancer also seems a little generic so I'll give that a miss for now. I think if I had to go to game right now it would be engineer, but I'm going to vote for "waiting for 8th class"

I'm most likely going to play a Guardian. In other games I tend to have a preference for healing characters (Priest in WoW, Cleric in D&D, Medic in Team Fortress), but none exist in Guild Wars 2. I read somewhere that the developers intended the Guardian for people who liked healers in the past, with it focusing more on supporting other players to victory.
Maybe Elementalist if I can figure out a very support-heavy range build for it, but most likely Guardian.

I'm probably going to play a Sylvari/Human Thief for my main profession, although I'm very tempted by a warrior aswell at this point.

Bring on beta so I can play and decide which I enjoy the most!
