    New Samsung 27inch LED

So, Just recently bought http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001476 .. Awesome monitor... well soso, so far

Spent about 2 hours fine tuning color, contrast gamma.. what not.. only problem is,

The jagginess of fonts and high contrast areas, anti-aliasing did not work what so ever, or windows clear type. Running at 1920x1080p.

I dont have to much experience with LED's but seems like the back lights can be a bit of a pain in the ass =/.

Tried diffrent resoloutions and monitor settings, couldnt find anything on google either... well probably is but gave up after 2 hours >.<

With no way to see the monitor myself - and assuming that everything actually has been properly calibrated (gamma set to 2.2/2.5, monitor is running in its default configuration and not any 'special' mode including 'game' mode, and dynamic contrast is disabled), the only immediate possible cause would be that the monitor just doesn't have a very good DPI/PPI.

1920*1080 on a 27'' surface simply results in fairly large pixels; almost twice as large as those on some laptops. A large monitor like a 27'' is also made to be placed a fair distance away from you; you could simply be seated too close.

Well , you should have tested at the shop or w/e for at least text jagginess.
I actually wanted to get that one , but after seeing some reviews and tested it myself , i didnt.

    From the reviews...
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung S27A550H display. I'm sorry to hear that you are encountering blurry text.

If the problem occurs when connecting via HDMI, please try the following:
    1) Go into "Menu" and scroll to "Input"
    2) Choose the "Edit Name" option and scroll to "HDMI"
    3) Select "DVI PC"
    4) Once you exit the "Menu," you should be able to view 1080p in clear, sharp detail

But yeah, that low of a res on a 27" screen isn't going to make super sharp text.
