I dunno, I really enjoyed some of Anthrax's stuff, plus Ive heard (never seen em so I cant comment) that they are really good live.

Slayer > Metallica > Megadeth > Anthrax

We don't call it the Big Four because we think they're the '4 greatest bands in the world'. We call them the Big Four because that's the name of the 4 bands combined, which is not a subjective name. They're generally seen as the four biggest bands of the (trash) metal scene, so they've gotten the nickname of Big 4 and are using it theirselves as well.

Well, I like megadeath but not as much as slayer and metallica and anthrax are fine I just stopped listining to them all (Except for metallica) last month to make room for Kreator and Testament on my Ipod .....

For me its a choice between Metallica and Megadeth.

But how to compare those bands? Metallica with hard, very trashy riffs like in Fuel or Unforgiven 2 along with lyric ballads like Nothing Else Matters or One - compare it with slightly psyhodelic Megadeth songs like Tornado of Souls and Hangar 13. See? Totally differend music.

But just about enjoying listening to, my iPod says Rust in Peace and Endgame are mashed a bit more frequently than ReLoad and Ride the Lightning. So Megadeth.

Slightly off topic....I wish the Big 4 would have added Machine Head to this "tour."

Machine Head would be VERY appropirate as warm-up, since Machine Head's music involves elements from all the Big Four. Oh that and their new album is amazing.

That is your opinion, nothing else. Personally, Slayer wouldn't be Slayer without their chaotic leads. It's still no contest.

Actually Slayer WAS Slayer before their current style of solos, check out their first two records. I like Slayer, seen them a few times live, but they are nothing compared to the others, in terms of creativity and originality. In terms of sheer speed and brutality, they do however win.
