    Revealing champions.

Does anyone else feel very sorry for the new policy Riot seems to have adapted?

They reveal a champion to release him a month or even more than a month later. Can bad can this suck?

    a) Their intention (at least as I perceived it) was to stop all the hype and waiting of "new champ comes in 2 weeks"

    b) I even remember that they said it when announcing the new plans for the champions' time releases: that they want players to feel stable for some time after a new champion comes out. There hasn't even been a full week, and they reveal (not even sneak peek) the next champion.

How are we even going to be "relaxed" and carefree when they reveal them so fast?

I find it very annoying and it shows me that for some reason they have no understanding of how successful they are, believing that they need to instantly reveal the next champ, to keep the people occupied. Really, being one of the few players who actually enjoys and plays well all roles, I haven't been yet able to play lissandra for more than twice.

    ANNOYED xD

I like looking forward to a new champion, I'm enjoying the little lore reveal thread they do before releasing the main reveal, and then you can see pics/read about it... followed by a week or so later it being up on the PBE so you can watch videos.. then usually around 2 weeks I think for it to go live. I don't see a problem with it myself.. I'd rather be excited and stimulate some discussion over the course of a month rather than it just being wham, new champ tomorrow after no info for a month.

I think the reason they reveal champions so quickly is because they want to keep the variety of the champion pool fresh and exciting. There are people who play the game for 6+hours a day so I guess they want to cater to them as well as people who are looking for a champion they think is "cool" or something they can somehow connect with.

Well, there's a while between the reveal and actual release, they're on PBE for a while first.

I think it's good because people can see if they like the idea of the champion (role, design, spells) and then possibly save up IP. If they don't like it, nothing to worry about, next champ will be revealed soon.
    Anybody reading this anyway?

I kind of like seeing the champion before hand, but what I don't like is that the time between when they show it and when they actually release it is way too long.
They should reveal it right before they put it on the PBE, not before we can even test it.
    Just my 0.02€

I kinda feel like this, too.
Escpecially with all the information about Aatrox, I think they could have stretched it a bit more. Like every day an explanation about one of Ezreals collected items. Now all the information and the champion were revealed at almost the same time.
That creates a longer "wait" time between revealing the champion, PBE and live. It might have been more interesting to spread the information more.

I liked it more with the Lissandra reveal, where they spread the information over several weeks [like with Quinn].
That way you have something to discuss every week, other than just "Here, have all the information, bye".

    This. ^

I think champ should be announced right before it goes on PBE.
No hype is bad, too much isn't any better.
I actually like those diaries or revealing story bits by bits, but!

I was really excited for Lissandra. I was like: "Omg soo kewl!"
But as time went on I just became bored of waiting and less
anticipated for her arrival. Then when she was released I didn't feel
like playing her A LOT. :S
