GMail email creation broken?

All right, so I'm trying to create myself another email on gmail, but it keeps saying the following:

Google could not create your account

In order to have a Google Account, you must meet certain age requirements. To learn more about online child safety, visit the Federal Trade Commission's website.


So, what exactly am I supposed to do if I want a gmail email address?

I'm pretty sure listing my date of birth as 24th of April 1990 qualifies as old enough...

Then there's some other problem. Becuase thats what the error would lead me to belive... that the serivce thinks your too young to use it
