Do tier item sets give bonus stats...?

I had 2/5 t11. Pants and chest.
I just had enough points to buy my t12 pants. So I did.
I had 102k mana unbuffed with my 2/5. My t12 pants gave at least 60 bonus intellect, including enchants and all that jazz. I go to equip it...

...and I go down to 100k mana.

What gives?

No armory, but one option might be that when you changed your legs, the sockets and gems changed as well, and it therefore deactivated your Meta-gem because you didn't meet the requirements anymore. That is, if your meta gem is one of those +mana ones, at least.

Yep, I've done that. Whenever I notice something unexpected going on with my stats, it almost always turns out to be a broken Meta requirement. I don't know what it is about it, but it's very easy to forget.
