    Mobo/Gfx card

Looking into getting a new Mobo, RAM, and Gfx card.

One mobo that I've looked into that seems pretty solid:

For a graphics card I was eyeing the GTX580 3GB, but if I can get an SLI with some cheaper cards that will come close to the performance or out does the performance then let me in on that lol

RAM I haven't done much research on, but obviously DDR3 8gb+ if someone can take the time to explain to me the factors of speed and the process/ideas/reasons of O.C. RAM. I understand Overclocking a CPU but certainly interested in learning doing it with RAM.

Reason for all these upgrades is because I got my new CPU and overall I want to upgrade the whole system, I have a 4 year old mobo that's been good to me (Asus M4N78 Pro) but I'm running on 4gb DDR2 RAM.

    Thanks for any help!

I'm assuming your new cpu is a phenom II?
That motherboard looks fine and will support the upcoming bulldozer series.
For ram you want to get ddr3 1600mhz... most popular for gaming are corsair vengeance and gskill ripjaws.

I'd actually recommend getting this motherboard instead... don't really lose anything important and it's cheaper:

If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One... now I am become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds.
