Lovestep is the only step.
lolz i love Chase and Status!
I don't get how anyone can listen to that crap without taking a sh*tload of drugs ^^
Don't ever make that mistake again. Drum and Bass, for one thing, is usually around 170 BPM, Dubstep is around 140 with half-time drums (which means the drums are usually between 60 and 70 BPM). Dubstep focusses more on percussion and a dark vibe, Brostep on Wobbles, Drum and bass on energy. Even though they are considered to be closely related DnB takes more from old skool Jungle, 90's rave and sometimes even breakcore. Dubstep takes its influences from 2-step, UK Garage and Grime. One of the few things that they really have in common is the Wobble and Reese bass, and DnB effectively started using that in the mid 90's the way Brostep is using it now. Not trying to be a smart-ass, just wanted to tell you the superficial differences mate. =)
how do you manage to listen to computer generated music O_o
Go--soundcloud.com/zedsdead
Just press play.
Too new to hyperlink. ;<
Not that I'm trying to start an argument, but Skrillex isn't dubstep.
I've been listening to him for almost 2 years, he's prob my favorite artist, Imo he's in a genre of his own, his stuff ranges all over the place, taking pieces from various electronic genres and mixing them together, which is what makes him so good.
Well said, I didn't actually know much about Dubstep until my work colleague let me listen to Zeds Dead one day whilst on a break, i was like "me likey" so off i went investigating and realized it actually stemmed from UK garage music, i was like... wtf? turn for the best imo! Was never a huge garage fan, ok maybe a few Artful Dodger songs were good... but meh
So many people in this thread have no clue what they're talking about. As MMO Champions representative from Croydon (Birthplace of Dubstep) All I can say is, listen to what you like, don't force your view on others. The genre would have died out in '06 if it wasn't for tolerance and everyone having personal taste to evolve their music.
Enjoy
He drops a LOT of skrillex in his live sets too, so go search for them
OPs video is terrible, I can't believe people listen to that garbage
How has this not been mentioned yet?
One of my friends is absolutely crazy about dubstep. He once made me listen to some kind of Mt. Eden song, which even I liked, that artist might be worth checking out.
For myself, I opened this thread with hopes to find out if there is some kind of dubstep out there that I really like. Some songs are ok to me at best.
Guess this kind of music isn't made for me
Not exactly Dubstep but, amazing.
a very amazing underground song by skirllex
