Thread: Rewind?

    Rewind?

This is probably a dumb question, but how do you say you want to "rewind" a movie, now that VCR's are obsolete? I can't think of anything that sounds right.

I find myself saying "Hey, back that up a little," but I can also see myself saying "Hey, rewind that a bit."

Rewind is still the word used to signify indexing backward in a film/video, even though the etymology of actually backward winding a piece of tape is no longer applicable.
