I have seen some questionable infractions, but not a whole mess of them.
Or perhaps a little civility and respect is owed and can't hurt you. The man is not even dead 24 hrs. If you aren't sad at his passing or have nothing to say in respect... try this: Don't post at all.
Mods warned that disrespectful or offcolor comments were not going to be tolerated. Not very hard to understand all the infractions given that statement.
Don't see what the fuss is about.
He was a mediocre at best, don't know why every one calls him a genius.
Oh well, I was waiting for this day to buy Apple shares.
The infracted posts I saw were a bit on the rude side. I don't blame them for doing it.
It is their site, but you are implying here that "disagreeing with a moderator" is being disrespectful and worthy of infraction. If that ever becomes the norm here, I'll stop posting completely.
Edit: To be clear, I take no position on the comments actually made, I am simply pointing out that mere disagreement is not a sign of disrespect.
Good. People acting like douches over someone dying pisses me off. I hope they ban every single one of them for life. Will make these forums a better place.
Its common courtesy to not speak ill of the dead regardless of your opinion of the person. The mods are acting in a way that they see fit. I agree with the mods completely.
All we ask is that you do not disrespect the recent dead. Cheering for the fact that someone died, no matter who that person is, is not acceptable.
If you want to discuss issues with Apple in general, that's a topic for another thread (if you can make such a thread constructively, not flaming/trolling).
If you disagree with these rules or particular moderators, you're welcome to PM me or Boubouille directly.
