The goal is to live forever. At our current rate of scientific advancement, the ability to live forever will be developed between 10-40 years.

The optimal strategy would be to go back to December 2008 and invest all your money in something like Netflix for $18 and sell at $300. 15x your money should be enough to kick start your life savings and make you wealthy enough to relax. I'd go to 9-09-01 and set up multiple cameras around New York, disguised as security cameras, and then I'd go to DC on the day of and film the damn plane flying in. Hmm, I now realize that going back in time might not mean jumping back into my childhood body with my current knowledge, if that's the case then I'd go back to early 1990 and follow Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids fanatically, watching as many shows as I possibly could. Now, are we talking going back as your current self? Cause meeting your younger self would cause a rip in the time continuum I believe. But I'd go back to 1993 & live through the 90s properly. Or go back to like 1965 & experience the 60s & 70s and how much more carefree it was than everything is nowadays.

But if we're just talking going back with the knowledge you have right now, & living in your former body, then I'd travel back to when I was 10. I would've saved myself from SO MUCH shit. And I'd get laid alot more. And probably invest some cash into things.
