Modem issues please halp!

When I got home today, all of a sudden my modem lights were all off. So I unplugged and plugged back in. The lights all turn on (not blinking) for about 3 seconds than they all shut off and nothing happens. Any idea what to do? Please don't tell me to unplug it and plug it back in.

Thanks all this is slightly urgent as I am doing some online work that needs to be done soon!

Try callling your ISP to check out if there's a problem with your line.

Or at least give more details. Lot more details. Like for example what's the brand and model of your modem, and what's your ISP where.

Dead/dying modem probs? Tried holding down the reset button with a pin (it's a tiny hole) for 3-5 secs to see if it resets everything?
My modem is currently doing weird stuff (infinitely cycling through a power on/off state) and after a chat with my ISP they're sending me a new one.
