    Need graphic card help!

Hello everyone, I'm not really a computer tech so here's a little question, can I switch my Gforce 220 (http://www.nvidia.com/object/product...gt_220_us.html) to a sexy geforce gtx 560(http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16814127592)

    thanks!

Yes... As long as your PSU is good enough to sufficiently supply power to it.

What brand/ wattage is your Power Supply?

GTX 560 TI stable at 1GhZ
    PCPartPicker Love it.

However I suggest you get a 560ti or 460 (depends on budget):

    "GTX560ti" http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16814127565

    "GTX460" (1GB) http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16814127518

I honestly believe that people should stop suggesting the GTX 460 just due to the fact that new low-mid end GPUs are about to hit the market and the GTX 460 is already two generations old. A much better suggestion would be HD6850, HD6870 or GTX560 Ti.

The 6850 outperforms the GTX460 and costs less. The 6870 is about even with the GTX560 (non-Ti) and costs less and the GTX560Ti is just plain better. No need to spend money for inferior technology, IMO.

In before "lol AMD drivers suck." No, they really don't.

I'm getting BF3 as soon as it is out, and I want better quality, because with my current setup its not pretty! and I'm getting a new power supply as well(http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16817139021)

$10 more gets you a modular 650W PSU (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...9012&Tpk=HX650), which will be plenty, even for a lot of Crossfire/SLI configurations.

If you're looking to come close to maxing out BF3, then a GTX580, GTX570 or an HD6970. SLI or Crossfire them to actually be able to max it. If you crossfire or SLI these particular cards, then the 750W will be what you want.

Yes all you have named are better than a run of the mill 460 however the Twin Frozr OCed 460's hold serious weight still for like $50-$100 savings or so on a 560 ti that will beat it.

460 overclocked to like 815MHz is like $200 at most and thats the price of an untouched 560 ti at cheapest.

The AMD cards beat the 460, plain and simple. Usually for the same price and/or cheaper. Did I mention they can be overclocked as well?

Maybe I should have worded my post a little different. I just meant he should consider spending more and get the 560ti, no doubt that one is the best. I included the 460 only because it was a GeForce he linked in the first place. We agree completely and honestly I thought the 460 was less than what i linked, my bad. That's also why I said it depends on the budget.

Either way get the 560ti (or 6870 if there isn't room in the budget)

I do believe the 6950 is within range of the pricing of a 560 ti as well. I know the 2gb 6950 can be flashed to bios of a 6970 unlocking shaders and such so hmmm

Those versions of the reference design are extremely scarce, AMD stopped manufacturing those cards
