Recent issue with the reply box

Over the last few weeks I've been having an issue with the reply box. At first I thought it was my pc, but I've had this problem on 3 different computers.
What happens (and its frequent but random) is that I will lose the ability to start a new line for no apparent reason. Basically, the enter button ceases to function. Refreshing the page fixes it (momentarily), but it's extremely annoying if I'm trying to write a long or spaced-out post.

Again, it may just be me. But consider looking into it. I think it'd be a strange coincidence if it were just my 3 computers and nobody else.

Yeah I'v been having the same problem Its really annoying, and after hitting the enter button 2-3 times I also get the 'ho snap'' screen which then deletes my message ><

Same here, has been escalating the last week. Sometimes I have to copy refresh page and paste every 3rd line. And I usually write quite a lot. So sometimes have to refresh more than two times on the same reply. Which well, get's really annoying.

Are you guys using Chrome? There have been a few people reporting issues with chrome and the reply box.

For reference, this issue happens only on google chrome. And yes, happens to everybody using chrome.
Started on some updates 2-3 months ago.

Temporary solution:
Once your cursor disapear and you cant write more lines, dont attempt to force it or the page will crash, instead, copy what you typed and go into advanced mode and finish your post there.

Yea there have been a ton of issues with Chrome... and there seems to be no one fix that works for everyone

There are others too, but those are the ones I found quickly.

Switch the editor to WYSIWIG mode (first button on the quick replies toolbar).

Really wish they'd fix the damn thing though. Or at least set it to WYSIWIG by default.

WYSIWYG has a whole host of problems and is very unstable, which is why we moved away from it in the first place.

It may be a valid temporary solution to this problem while we wait for vBulletin to give a response; however in any other case, I highly recommend against it.

Chrome yes. Haven't really tested it with any other browser, I don't really use them at all.

The WYSIWIG seems error free to me. It's the source mode thats give me issues. And apparently a lot of other people too. >.<

yea I am the opposite on that one... but then I don't use chrome.

I'm sick of writing a damn essay into the message box as a topic of discussion and theory-crafting and then it have it crashing, deleting all my text plus enter just dying out on me all the time.
