    Hello all,

I just started raiding normal. My DPS seems a little low for Fury compared to charts, so I was curious if someone could look at these logs and let me know if there's something that I'm missing. Check multiple fights - some bosses I had better enrage uptime than others.

What am I missing? Something in my rotation? Is my gear just bad? I know I'm a little low on crit, but I'm doing as much as I can with the gear I have.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Fury Warrior

Pretty much looking for anything that can help improve my dps. A majority of my Heroic logs are complete crap, my Normal ones are probably the most up to date ones, but any input would be awesome.

Character name is Averagetroll on Korgath. Won't let me post links to logs because of my post count.

Seems no one answers this thread anymore, dasima and kreps dont put out guides, we warriors have no1 to look up to any longer =[

    Hi there,

    Character Name Sigs.

I feel as though my DPS is really lacking. I am having a hard time understanding my rotation. Should I always wait until 90 rage to WS outside of bloodsure, spam BT when I can.

Anyhelp on what I am doing wrong would be great.

You could definetally enchant mastery instead of crit, since you seem to have 33% crit unbuffed according to your armory. Even weapon enchants. This would boost your dps quite nicely, because afaik after around 30% crit buffed mastery starts to be a bigger dps-increase compared to crit. Also pre-potting and potting during executephase is a significant boost to your dps. You really should be using pots, flasks and rune.

Also i suggest you don't use ravager in hfc, most fights it's quite bad with bladestorm if you're going to aoe, rather use anger management for shorter bladestorm cooldown.

Biggest upgrade for you though would be weapons. You need better weapons really badly. Craft them if you have a lot of gold for example.

Discordant Chorus doesn't help for single target or your bonus armor cloak. Basically you just need more gear with more mastery, but you do have the basic parts needed (archi trinket + 4-set).

I don't really see that much wrong with your dps. You just need more gear.

Fight by fight analysis would be good...

    -Síkk
Well basically what i see is that you have very low amounts of mastery and crit. You really need gear with mastery and crit, not with haste/versatility/multistrike. Itemlevel alone doesn't cut it. Also you know where to contact me Síkk for more help.

Here is a log from our most recent Tyrant Kill (Yes, I was fury since I forgot I had swapped my offspec to Prot).

    https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...-done&fight=10

Here is a log from Iksar:

    Xul:

    https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...e-done&fight=6

My main question is: Am I where I supposed to be in terms of DPS, generally? It seems I am usually middle to end of the pack in DPS. I am about 5-7 ilevels behind the raid, but I just don't think my DPS is competitive, even on burst AOE fights like Iksar and my single target is nowhere near the top.

According to simcraft, mastery, crit, and haste are all simming out pretty even. I think I ran it earlier in the week and the normalized values were .76, .75., .75 respectively.

Hi, I feel like my dps has been suffering massively recently and would like some pointers on where to improve.

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/zANfRbPC13gakMBL/# Here are my logs from tonight and the rest of them are openly available. Im particularly concerned with my dps on Archimonde, on the log listed I am using the t17 4set

Hi, I been killing with my guild H Archimonde for a while as an arms warrior but it seems I can't still understand where's my mistake that hurts so much my dps on that chaotic boss.

    Armory: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte.../Hayate/simple

This was my best attempt but that was a while ago https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...done&source=17

And this is my latest attempt https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...-done&source=2
Latest parse was really bad, I was testing some stuff if it would improve my dps but we still somehow killed it =/

Not sure what I changed but it seems that my SS is really low.
The thing is that I don't understand how to use sweeping strikes.
Am I suppose to use sweeping strike then target Archi so it'll cleave adds then just execute adds?
Or do I need to SS then hit then adds so it'll cleave on Archi then spam execute?

Right now, it just from my understanding, my SS is really low compare to other people.
And should I even rend on those overfiend and dreadstalker?

Any tips or help that could help enlighten me on this chaotic fight is really appreciated :)
    Thanks again for the help!

Archimonde is quite an annoying fight more so in the last phase and arms damage really depends on how well everyone performs the fight and if you have any monks who touch of death your executes away from you. I found that on pull if I'm lucky i can rend, CS, MS have MS reset, then doomfire spawns, make sure you are in correct range to be able to charge it (free rage), you want to sweeping strikes when ever there's more than one target. So rend up the doomfire, this doomfire dies super quick, i find I can only rend (it might not even be worth it), put CS on it maybe a MS but the most important part is sweeping-striking the execute into archi because thats when the ring will still be active. My opener is super rng, do i have enough rage? did my CS reset? did MS reset? did the monk touch of death super quick? I pretty much sit there spamming execute a gcd earlier just so i get it off.

As arms we are pretty beastly at destroying the adds which need to die, so cleave off the adds into archi. The green one will spawn quickly kill him before the death caller spawns, I usually let someone get the first interrupt and save mine for the second. Kill the deathcaller, be sure to always have rend on archi and the add you are on. Try get off 40 rage executes when ever you can. As for what to rend, everything but the little ones that run around all crazy, I find it's more of a hassle to catch them unless of course you've just seen them run and they are standing right near archi or sometimes you can rend one while running from allure. Same goes for executing them but make sure you have sweeping strikes on to cleave into archi. It's always nice when the ring lines up with a deathcaller execute. Also something that I still do every now and then, never clip rends unless it's 5 seconds or under, pretty much wasted dmg and a gcd there.

The last phase is still a killer for me, going into the portals doesn't hurt your damage too much but sometimes you'l get stuck with a chain and can't help on infernals or the ranged will decided to crowd the boss and there's no where to split, shits going everywhere things to dodge, it's not a good time. So far what's helped me it's learning the timings of each ability so that I know when it's safe to move around like a mad man trying to kill infernals. Not being able to make full use of the execute phase also hurts. Employing the correct strat for wrought choas is also important for the last phase as the people with the beam should not need to move, others should move away from it's path allowing you to stay still and hit archi.

But yeah I'm not professional this is just what I've found to be helpful so far.

The enchants he should use are either thunderlord or bleeding hollow, never the multistrike one. General rule is <30% unbuffed use thunderlord, >30% unbuffed used bleeding hollow.

Getting an empty drinking horn and the archi trinket will go a long way, I only use chorus for hellfire assult, unending hunger is a BiS arms trinket.

Since he has the 4 set t18 learning to play arms for council, tyrant and archi is generally very beneficial to the raid group.

One thing to know is that the t17 is so god damn good for fury, so people who were able to obtain a mythic set of t17 will be of similar bracket but have considerable advantage in the logs. If you check the top mythic fury parses for iron reaver they all use mythic t17. (which is fkn stupid but w/e blizzard)

Fury is always going to have a little trouble atm on single target vs classes like arcane mage, lock, rogue, hunter etc because they are just considerably better at it.

Generally it's storm bolt for single target and dragons roar otherwise. Avatar and blood bath are both fairly close use which ever. I enjoy using seigebreaker into blood bath and using anger management if I need to bladestorm sooner.

I only really see a good use of ravager on iskar and maybe archi as fury? not sure I play arms for archi. Anger management may help bladestorm line up with doomfires or deathcallers.

He seems to not be using a second pot, so maybe he's not using a pre pot and then potting as the boss is already pulled? he should pot at around 2 second of the pull timer and then again at 20%.

Doing well as fury is mostly being able to bladestorm the correct things at the correct times. Always bladestorm while enraged for the full duration.

Make sure to truly understand the priority here in terms of doing the rotation correctly. http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...-now-what-quot

    Armory link: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...rwarr/advanced
    World of logs link: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/ranking...857706/latest/

I'm in a bit of tight spot. I never used to have problems with pulling high numbers, ever since I started progressive raiding in late TBC. Always kept up to date witth every piece of information I could get my hands on (elitist jerks forums, then mmo champion), switched to keybinding as soon as I hear of it, always used proeper enchants, gemming adn consumables. I returned lately after a break, and since fury and arms were both so simplified in WoD I was quite sure I can't do anything wrong there. However, I seem to be pulling almost lowest dps on every fight (HFC clear and porgress in mythic {my guild is at 5/13 at the moment}). I really have no idea if I'm doing something wrong ( I hope that si something I can fix ouitside of gearing) or is it simply me missing 4 piece bonus (I already have 2 piece, 720 and 715 wepaons, class trinket, also I assume gemming and ecnhanting correctly). I was sure it was problem I can deal with by gearing up since I'm 90% sure I'm doing everything correctly in terms of openers, roation etc., but now I started to be benched because of my low dps so it interferes with my progress and have to deal with it as fast as possible.
I am also watching other warriors videos from all encounters to see how they deal with them. I went through Fatboss videos quite a few times now, so I don't know what else I can be missing from tactic point of view. Maybe there is some warrior/melee specific guide I could use to top my dps? I am very eager to learn, so every piece of advice I get will be very appreciated.
    Yours truly, Wampir

Here's a video on the importance of set boni especially for fury warriors: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHlOjfM9sOk
So I would recommend you to get your 4 piece asap, including nhc.

Regarding the logs I noticed that you actually die in most of the fights. It's very important that you fix that. Dead = 0 dps.

In your Kormrok kill you used defensive stance 10% of the fight which is a very big dps loss especially with class trinket. You could also use Ravager as lvl 100 talent since on this fight you don't need/use the cooldown reduction AM gives you.

Also you use Berserker Rage rather sparsely. Gives you a free stack of Raging Blows and enrages you.

It also seems to me you misunderstand a bit about the simplified specs. It does mean they might be easier to play, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's easier to get high dps with it compared to other mythic raiders who try to squeeze out the maximum. + those propably all have 4 set equipped

True, I die in many encounters, still work in progress I'm going for defensive stance while receiving a lot of damage (like during pound on Kormrok and Iron Reaver). I guess I could work more on survivability to avoid using it. I recently acquired 4 piece of tier 18, so here goes my next question: on which encounters should I use t18, and on which t17 set bonuses? It's not quite clear to me.
Thanks a lot for quick response, tips and going through my logs. Dind't realise that there actually players that are so helpfull in those regards

Hey everyone. 11/13Mythic DPS Warrior here, really struggling with DPS in raids lately and it's starting to get to me, I really feel like I should be pulling more than I am mainly for fury and I don't really know what I'm doing wrong. I think I might be Wild Striking too much, but I'm not sure.

I generally have a pretty solid understanding of the class and rotation for Arms/Fury but I feel like I'm really struggling.

My main concern right now is upping my single target DPS as fury. I'm currently 723 iLvl and during our alt raid this week I pulled 69k DPS on a patchwerk Zakuun kill, got no seeds, sat still the whole fight, I even got pretty decent Bloodsurge procs. however I did get a few non enrage bloodthirsts throughout the fight and didn't have zerk rage up to proc enrage.

On the AoE side of Fury I think I got it down pretty alright, meat cleave, bladestorm, etc. My main worry is my single target like I said.

As far as arms goes I think I do decent but I still feel that I'm pretty low. I know I sometimes colossus smash the wrong target when I switch to rend just out of habit when I see it light up but I make sure to stay on that target until Smash wears off.

If you guys could check out some of my parses that would be really great.

Really not understanding why my damage is so low. Is it just not the legendary ring? I was losing to a fury warrior with the legendary ring who was 10 ilvls below me last night.

Armory: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...arzak/advanced (yes I know I need to change the crit gem to Mastery, I also have the wrong weapon equipped I have a 2nd Calamity's with Bleeding Hollow)

We had a lot of wipes to fel lord last night. I was always behind the fury warrior who was 10 ilvls lower than me. Is there something I am doing blatantly wrong?

    Hello.

I represent a semi-hardcore russian guild. I am eager to understand, what's wrong with a couple of my players.

Thank you very much for such an attentive and friendly community, I use to get much info from this forum. Hope, you will help me to understand the problems with my warrior - Бонхэд.

As far as I understand, there are problems in both of the specs. Arms+Fury. But please, be so kind to pay attention only to fury, I am convinced, that the analysis of fury will let to speak about problems in arms.

Here is his armory: eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/booty-bay/%D0%91%D0%BE%D0%BD%D1%85%D1%8D%D0%B4/simple (Бонхэд)

After a quick overview of your logs across the board in my genuine opinion you are pressing whirlwind far too much and missing resets of mortal strike as i.e on some of your 3.5-4minute pulls of Fel-Lord You casted on average around 30-40 mortal strikes. In my guilds 2min 35 second kill I casted 35 which realistically I shouldn't so close to you on casts even though it is tech controlled by rng. But its a similar issue on Soc when I compare a 2min 47 second to your 5 minute kill you only casted 10 more mortal strikes or something which tbh is probably the majority reason behind your mediocre damage. I also feel like you don't bank in execute properly as your max execute's are on average pretty low

P.S I also see that you ran Sudden death in that Socrethar parse , don't do that
