I did just get Ullr's feather last night in raid, so our logs don't reflect that. Any help is appreciated!
(I know.... neck is not currently enchanted, that's this mornings project is to get that done because I had the Legendary neck prior tot he Ullr's dropping)

Actually posting for a friend who we run M+ regularly with. His dps is kinda low compared to 2 of the other guys that we run with. Just wanted to see if there are any kind souls out there who might help out and analyse the logs, to give some tips on increasing that dps.

Bit of background: Vanilla to WotLK hardcore raid experience, came back in Draenor as a casual player. Goals are to clear Heroic content with my current guild and possibly start pushing some mythics. Just started playing hunter this expansion, originally played melee DPS Fury War and Enhance Shaman mostly. I did play mage during Draenor though. I have read Azortharion's guide and believe I am following properly, I think where I may be faultering is trying to fit in to many AiS and them hitting when Vun is off instead of waiting. My artifact is level 17 I believe I just got my first golden trait (Bullseye) and have one point into Windrunner's Guidance.

Any comments appreciated.

The situation is, my raidleader is very sad about his output. Obviously this raid setup won't kill Ursoc mathematically, because there were too many core raiders on public holidays this evening, however his own performance(the 6-digit nicknamed hunter) is poor in his opinion. He thinks it is more than just dps drop from raid leading, but something core that he misses. He does less than he sims and he expects. Your help would be much appreciated

As far as I can tell, ur friend doesnt seem to make any grave mistakes.
Maybe a few less KillCommands.
His Gear looks good. (What I would like to know are his Relics and how far he is with his traits on his weapon - seems he is lacking there but u cant tell via armory)
Using pots and Food can increase his damage a bit.

From the abilities he could use Aspect of the Wild 1 more time as its a 2 minute CD.
Using BL on pull is another DPS increase but thats from using the Raidcooldown and depends on ur group.
But thats it.

Ok just had another view over his resource usage.
During BestialWrath he doesnt seem to spend his focus enough.
As he has gotten the boots (legendary) he should spennd all he has during BW doing:
KillComand -> CobraShot -> KillCommand -> DireBeast(When ready) -> KillCommand/Cobrashot (depending on the CD left on KillCommand)

Artifact Build: Got my 2nd Golden Trait yesterday, Bullseye + Call of the hunter. I know I went the wrong way here, its annoying but how much of a DPS loss is it? Worth respeccing the entire tree cause of it?

One log from fight like Ursoc can't say much. But i'll try to tell what's the differrent between you and Pony:

1. Your windburst damage is too low compare to him (half). So i think you wasn't cast it on CD (which is must after the buff), don't delay it, just cast it on CD.
2. His Barrage damage is higher than you even his gear is much lower (in ilevel because i can't find you on armory). Maybe because he line up the barrage when the boss is at 20% to get quick 30% crit buff THEN pop trueshot in the 20% phase. This trick is must on Ursoc, many people use TS in the 30% phase with lust, but don't, delay it till you get the 20% phase with 30 stacks bullseye.

You can see from my log on Ursoc mythic kill, i'm undergear with another two hunter in my guild (and without any legend, they have boot). But i still beat they dps by more cast, more windburst/barrage damage. In this fight, dont move if you don't have to, only move on GCD. And from the movie, you can see my dps went higher than them when the 20% phase begin by the barrage to get the bullseye stack fast (even i did use TS when i'm not 30 bullseye stacked because i scare ill die before i put any damage so i have to pop it earlier than the 30% come),

Looking at your Mythic Ursoc fight, you're not using your cooldown (Trueshot) optimally at all. You typically want to do some research into how long fights are and when lusts are being popped. For most bosses it varies a lot and depending on your wipes you should have a good estimate of the timings. Mythic Ursoc; however, is almost always 5 minutes long for a progression clear and lust is generally popped at 30% (when he enrages). So in this situation and unless you have the legendary boots or 4+ points into Trueshot cd reduction on your artifact weapon you need to hold your second Trueshot. The most optimal time to use it is during execute phase when you already have a decent amount of stacks of bullseye and if you're lucky that will line up with lust.

Looking at your clear, you popped your second Trueshot at 2:40 meaning you just popped it off cooldown and it amounted to a 600k dps peak. If you instead saved it for the window of when lust and bullseye overlapped (around 4:10) you would've had a significantly higher dps peak (1m+). This is probably the biggest contribution to single target parses for hunters since our overall rotation is extremely simple.

Atm I have 4 traits in the trueshot trait. But I'll try to optimize my playstyle with your tricks. I hope that can make me a more solid singletarget player.

So I have always been raiding as BM and our guild is 7/7N and 7/7H and I've always done it as BM. Now that EN on normal has been so easy I have been going in as MM to get better with it to make the full swap. As BM recently I have typically done around 230k dps on fights. In this above trace you can see before I got some of the new gear pieces I now have as BM I did around 234k. I swapped to MM and on the same fight I'm doing 201k dps which doesn't seem right. Now I know I don't have the best relics I've been extremely unlucky, I have put a good amount of AP into the weapon and unlocked the more important traits already I believe. I'm using the WA template from the hunter thread in these forums to assist me in learning the rotation better but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm curious if anyone could assist, I think as BM I have always done a great job and now I'm debating if I should even swap but I've seen that MM obviously is higher DPS so I thought by swapping to MM when I was already doing great dmg as BM would put me higher than my BM dps but it hasn't. I know I'm doing the rotation wrong or missing something.

Last night i Simcraft my Char Single Target and come to : 270k DPS (one weak ago i simed it was 318k) ! Than i simcraft an equal geared Hunter und he did simcraft Single Target : 310k DPS

My average is around 270 to 290 in an heroic/mythic raid fight but can be as low as 250k. I've been told the average is around 310k for a MM hunter of my ilvl but I'm unsure what I'm doing wrong with my rotation in fights. I normally start with popping my deadly grace, using trueshot, windburst, sidewinders, marked shot then using as many aimed shots as possible, as well as a barrage.
Help would be good, thanks.

I use 375 food and flask but dont pot unless its mythic progression which we just started last night. I dont think i do too bad dps but im slowly slipping down the meters and my dps has hit a lull so to speak. I dont do bad on most fights but i am always rated very crapily in my bracket for my ilvl so there is somewhere i know i should be improving on drastically. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
