Hi, I'm new to MM and looks like i'm surely do something wrong. While other hunters topping in top 5, I Always fallling behind like between #11-#15

Chimaera on cooldown, don't multi-shot, be better at using careful aim'd Aimed shots and kill shot on adds, aimed shot more.
Take toth instead of DB. Don't use barrage single target.

The biggest difference I can see between mine and your logs is I do a tonne more aimed shots.

Your weapon is holding you back too, at 637 ilvl with a 640 wep all my shots are doing more on average than yours.

Definitely finding myself doing something wrong there, tried to CM as much as possible, sometimes dodging the fire/whirl/pulverize brings me out of range of bosses (I'm standing far to bait shield charge); I feel I should be pushing way more dps even considering the above.

This is our imp fight in normal, for what i saw im missing a bit of Chimaera Shot, are that the reason why my dps is so low?

i rerolled hunter this expansion so its my first tier with him

Just trying to figure out what I need to do to boost my MM dps. On this attempt, my overall dps was around 17k when on the kill attempt when I go back to survival my dps jumps up to 22k. Is it just poor sniper training up time? Am I not using my aimed shot/chim shot enough or correctly? Thank you for any help on this.

Seems like you overcap your focus really badly, use AiS more, less Steady Shots. Your ST uptime seems ok, 76% and you were dead for 20% of fight. ~95% is ok. All I can see is that you overcap a lot.

My question more based on my weapon, I pull 21-22k pretty consistently with my 630 blue but since my luck has been so bad that ive never seen it drop all 6 times I've killed bracken on my hunter. I know I will get it soon or later but how much dps increase should I be looking at once I replace this? I know its a pretty vague question but assuming I always pull 21k+ any estimate? Thanks in advance!

I can't seem to get above 20k dps consistently and I have zero idea what I am doing wrong. Maybe to main steady shots or not enough aim shots I am just at a loss right now as to why my dps is so low for my ilvl which is 660 and since I am new I can not post links which is a major bummer.

I guess I am more-so looking at the Butcher kill that I feel like my DPS is very low in. If someone could please analyze and tell me what you think that would be greatly appreciated.

I am 656 ilvl Surv hunter.

I know I did pretty well on the Butcher Heroic fight (2nd DPS/dmg) but I want to do MORE. This is probably the best fight to analyze but I'm not professional.

Please disregard the Kargath Heroic fight (I tried BM for the adds up top and failed miserably - not my usual spec). I did fire fighter on Brackenspore for first time, so disregard that fight as well.

Expectations: Not looking to be a world beater just sitting in the mid of the pack not sure what I could be doing better. Done all research/forum reading, thinking my actual rotation im not casting the right things at the right times. Get crushed by our BM hunter, Tried MM and hate it even if I do more dmg than other hunters in guild, dont like the immobile feel of it.
Take note I am flamethrower for bracken, debuff runner for imperator, first soaker for koragh, mover for butcher (in/out guy).

FYI the target macros are actually a slight disadvantage, because they actually cause you to switch targets for a second and may mess up auto attacks. Instead, you can do this in ONE line:

/cast [@focus, nodead] Arcane Shot

This will cause the specific spell to directly target your focus without forcing you to change targets. This works for a lot of different things. Here's my MD macro:

#showtooltip Misdirection
/cast [@focus, nodead,help][@mouseover, nodead,help][@pet,nodead] Misdirection

This attempts to MD my focus if they aren't dead and friendly. If not, then my Mouseover is next up. Finally, if neither of these work, it will MD my pet.

Hello guys!

You missed out one 2 whole black arrows on that fight just by delaying them a bit, make sure you use it the second it comes of cooldown, not a few seconds later. The same goes for barrage, you missed a total of 3 (altho this could be pardoned because sometimes they aren't stacked up) and explosive shot aswell, becuase between these 2 timestamps there are supposed to have a 6 seconds interval, this one is almost 10 seconds long (it is taken from your log).

You also wasted a tiny bit focus, but thats to be expected with focusing shot so don't worry about it. Overall you should really focus on using your abilities more fequently and the precis moment they come of cooldown. (You should also get potion, they increase your dps like crazy)
