I can't seem to get as high ranks on single target fights like Zakun or Socrethar (not strictly single target but meh) as I can on the other fights - I suspect a part of this is kill times. I'm happy with my performance but there's probably things I could do better, and maybe some little bad habits that are under my radar? Also any advice for Archimonde would be greatly appreciated.

Hit me with your worst. Although ignore the 6 stack immolation on the Reaver kill, I was trying out streaming which sapped my fps. And my stupid death on Manno.

I think I might need help from the more experienced hunters in mythic. I am not satisfied at all with my dps, I truly believe with 708-710 ilvl (depending on what trinket I use) I should be pulling more dps. I am aware I'm low on crit but alas rngesus is not on my side. Bellow are logs from my last heroic raid, my last mythic kills, and some random logs that could be a indication of something wrong. Keep in mind i haven't logged these myself (I just always forgot to log them). Any advice, tip, or clarification would be greatly appreciated, of course positive criticism as well. If its worth mentioning, I'll add that I have HC Talisman, Normal Mirror and Kromog trinket HC version available to me right now.

Well given the armory you just posted do not worry about your dps.
You do not have the 4 piece and you do not have the legendary ring ( which is a major boost to your burst phase with RF)
I just checked your Ironreaver hc fight. If you compare yourself to the other hunter in your raid , the only thing i can see is that you do not use barrage.
use it as often as possible if you pic it as a talent!

He missed 8 chims on velhari, making sure chim is fired on cd is very important and is the probably largest factor in terms of raw dps output. Cd's look good in terms of timing however he needs to be pooling focus to be at a high level of focus before popping rf + ring and other cds are popped in order to maximize damage during these strong buffs. In terms of overall focus management he seems to enjoy running a very low level of focus which seems to be the biggest thing screaming at me from these logs. This would explain the loss of chims. Many hunters play many different styles with focus but focus management is the real key to unlocking the full potential of marksman dps. Some play with a low focus playstyle however you need to be mindful of when chim is coming off cd in order to do this so that you have the correct level of focus when chim comes off cd. The method myself and most top level hunters is we run higher levels of focus and use aimed sparingly in order to maintain a high level of focus for using it when needed (bow enchant proc, 2pc proc, add spawn, on demand burst).

Lost a few possible chims not terrible but could use improvement. Focus looks alright altho on some rapid fires you still need to make sure you pool properly before rf+ring. Main thing I see is you need to die less, dead dps do no dps.

First of all if you click any abilities you need to fix that asap it will cause wipes in the long run and a consistent loss of dps. Lost a few chims on some kills and also sometimes you could improve on the pooling focus before rapid fire. Overall pretty good focus managment, and apm.

Regarding your focus use you do run a little lower levels of focus, where you like to play regarding focus levels varies alot on personal playstyle but a keeping a high level of focus will help with chim usage on cd and gives you the ability to weave ais in when you have certain buffs to get more effective use out of your focus.
ex: 2 scenarios, 1 where you keep a high level of focus and 2 where you just make sure all your buttons arnt lit up (low focus), in situation 1 if you get for instance a weapon enchant proc or a 2pc proc you can dump several extra ais into that proc making that focus more valuable, in situation 2 you have to regen focus during these procs essentially wasting portions of them.

What your keybindings actually are is pretty much entirely up to you, but no matter what way you start doing it you're going to have to just sit down and fully familiarise yourself with them probably just beating on a target dummy

I can't seem to get any good logs. With my gear I should actually achieve more epic logs. I guess I can't play good enough to get legendary ranks, but I'm quite sure I'm doing something wrong, because I only seem to get blue, green and sometimes even grey ranks with >720 on most bosses. Especially the example bosses are those I'm playing really bad.

@Vaylz: For achieving got ranks on Council you need to get the fel rage debuff. Like Palamendes had on the kill you linked. And he even got it to overlap with your heroism. That´s what your "normal" dps gets ranked against. So no real worry there. And Kormrok depends on good aoe on the hands mostly. If your team mates destroy those or you mistime barrage then you have no chance for good ranks either.

Most of the time very good ranks depend not only on your skill but on luck in the given fight. How much do you have to move for certain mechanics. How much buffs/debuffs did you have. And not to forget rng. How much focus did you get back from AIS or how much toth procs did you have and when. Top parses are those where top skill aligns with top luck and or strategies catered to parsing.

In general I think people look too much after those rankings. I look at them too. But in the end looking for flaws in your playstyle (too few chimaeras in my case) and being stable or rising in your output from week to week are more important to success. And ranks will come from that when the stars align.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask. But is replacing a mythic Beating Heart of the Mountain with a regular heroic Fel Spring Coil worth it?

Had it sitting in my bags for the longest time, a little unsure about whether it was losing the active+80 agility. But I figure it's time I started looking at replacing it.

Missing chim shots on a regular basis on korm you could have had 30 you had 24 thats huge. Need to pool focus for rapid fire ring so you can machine gun aimed shots.

Hey folks, I have finally switched to MM after playing BM for two years (and for good reason - they're ownage this expansion). However, I'm having a very hard time assimilating.

I suspect that I probably move too much and get swept up into Aimed Shot frenzies since I feel focus starved all the time. Additionally, I have compared myself against the hunter in my guild doing more damage than me, and while we perform a comparable number of attacks, it appears that my crit strike is much lower (~500 less at the time of these logs, though I have swapped my gear around and crafted a cloak since then). Would you guys mind taking a look and provide a definitive answer?

Expectations:
Shouldn't I be doing closer to 80k DPS by now? I can't push past ~65k. My rankings are an average of 20th percentile. Are you kidding me?

Thats my most recent log for HFA mythic. If you look through my older logs in heroic, I always felt like I doing pretty decent.
Until this week I realized i'm not playing at all as I should be since I was losing to an alt hunter with the same gear on most fights.
What am I doing wrong? How can I improve? Are there macros I should be using?
I already know how the MM rotation works I just dont know how to apply it during raid, I find myself becoming focus starved and missing chim shots cause i'm trying to fire as many aimed shots as possible to not lose dps, but if I pool focus, i'm not shooting enough and I lose dps.
I'm honestly desperate for some coaching because this isnt acceptable.
