    • Restoration
      • [With regional restarts] Mana regeneration reduced by 60% in PvP combat (was 55%).

Items and Rewards

  • The maximum value the Anima Reservoir can hold has been greatly increased to 200,000 (was 35,000).
    • Developers’ note: We'll be introducing a way for characters who have fully upgraded a Covenant Sanctum to transfer anima, either to their alts or to other covenants on the same character, and so we're increasing the anima cap in anticipation of this change.
  • Shards of Domination
    • [With regional restarts] All Domination gear now activate a gem set bonus.
    • [With regional restarts] Sanctum of Domination Legs for all armor types now activate a gem set bonus.
      • Cloth: Legs – Blood, Bracers – Frost, Belt – Unholy
      • Leather: Legs – Frost, Gloves – Unholy, Boots – Blood
      • Mail: Legs – Blood, Belt – Unholy, Boots – Frost
      • Plate: Legs – Frost, Bracers – Unholy, Gloves – Blood
      • Developers’ note: Requiring a specific slot from the raid to take advantage of the set bonus is proving to be too elusive for some players even with some assistance from the Great Vault. If you have previously acquired an item affected by this change but have destroyed it, you can use the Item Restoration service to recreate it after the hotfix goes live with this week’s maintenance. Please note, there is no benefit from having the activation spell twice.
    • [With regional restarts] Shard of Kyr effectiveness reduced by 75% in PvP combat (was 50%).
  • Players should now correctly see the Mastercraft Gravewing in the Mounts tab of their Collections window.

Korthia and the Maw

  • Player abilities that have restricted use indoors such as Heroic Leap and Demonic Gateway are now easier to use in Korthia and the Maw.

RIP people using pants legendaries, since they're apparently adding a sixth Domination slot for everyone: Legs.

Edit: Rereading multiple times, it sounds like the pants just -activate- the set bonus but don't actually have their own socket. Which is pretty bizarre, but also means legendaries are fairly safe.

That's not how I read it. It seems to me that the legs will simply activate a gem set bonus, but not have a domination socket themselves.

I think it wont be too bad, as I believe you still can't benefit from 2 sets, so unless legs are the bonus you want and you haven't gotten the other piece (chest or shoulders since none are unholy) you will be good. Still a little annoying, but since most people swapped to rings/neck/cloak on affects a few classes, only 2 I can think of are guardian and kyrian priest.

So to finally give my rerolled main all this excess anima I just need to first spend it all on upgrading the useless parts of my Sanctum, therefore having no anima left to transfer. Cool.

So they are actually implementing things that people want for once, except the thing about Dom Gear, cause I didn't even bother to research about it; I won't pretend to know what do those changes do.
Let's hope that this tendency keeps going toward Player Friendliness and 9.1.5 doesn't become their last effort to gain people back.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're fixing these things - it's just really hard to not think that this should have been how things worked from the get-go, and that Blizzard KNEW this. I guess I'm all out of benefit of the doubt.

With domination sockets, maybe - but not anima. The whole point of 9.0 was the scarcity of anima which is now resolved. Anima is now plentiful because of the story.

Aw come on don't be dramatic, if you're doing korthia you're pulling in 3-4k anima every day now. It's not like before when just getting the 1k anima for your weekly was a bit of a chore.

Ediit: Nvm, anima transfer inc. Definitely glad about that.

The story explains why anima was scarce. It doesn't explain why there's an arbitrary cap that wasn't increased immediately with the next patch, or why there wasn't a more alt-friendly system in place for it. Those are not story-related, they're entirely mechanical decisions Blizzard either didn't think about or didn't care about. And neither of those is good.

Is it really a fix or just smoke and mirrors? Seems to me to be yet another example of how out of touch blizzard are with players.

Let’s add ANOTHER layer on a failed system. It’s just systems upon systems upon systems making a more convoluted and honesty unenjoyable game to play.

The EASIEST fix for this rubbish domination system as it was and the inability for people to get the items they need to activate the set bonus would have been to fix the drop rates, reintroduce bad luck protection on boss drops and / or give us back bonus rolls.

Instead of getting “x” amount of free rolls a week, dunno about others, but would have been happy if the stupid currency choice in the GV we take when we get rubbish or duplicates or things that are taken my leggo items, could have been a bonus roll to be used in the current week.

Keeps a potion of RNG that blizzard seem to wanna force on people, and gives players a choice if their GV is rubbish.

You get thousands of anima a day by accident just from doing Korthia dailies and killing a few rares while doing them.

My personal hope was for there to be a weekly M+ chest, and also a one-a-week 100% loot bonus roll for the raid. But I guess they don't want your alts to be ready for raid before a month's time. Or something.

This really screws everyone who has a lego in the leg slot and forces them to now grind more, for 3-4 weeks to get enough to craft another 262 piece.....

While they may say this is a "fix", I'm starting to think this was intentional from the start, with the sole purpose of forcing people to play even more if you want to optimize yourself properly.

Lmao, scarcity doesn't have anything to do with the previous cap. I'm all for improving the game, but coming up with bs lore excuses for poor implementations is as, if not more, pathetic than people who gobbles them.

It’s crazy at all the advancements in technology in about two months. Guess when 1/2 of people leave your game and your getting sued by the state of California it really gets the creative juices flowing.

Changes like this confuse me. It seems like relatively easy math to figure out how hard it would be for people to activate the bonus. Why can't they just admit they made it too hard? Or admit that nerfing it was always the plan? Not one single person believes you guys are surprised how hard it is.

Just buff Anima income, players have complained since day one we are not getting enough Anima.

OH MAN I LOVE IT LMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAO they are trying SO HARD, you can tell that they have literally nothing planned anytime soon so they're trying to win their player base back now before endwalker in nov LOL

If you fall for this shit you deserve to lose your money to them, this is crap that should of been added from day 1 especially the domination change

Finally an incentive to continue doing Korthia on my main where I acquire significantly more anima than my alts due to (ironically) upgraded covenant hall bonuses.

I just hope the transfer will be 1:1 and not the usual 5:6 transfer rate or less.
