Kinda like the new Bastion setup.

This looks like a pretty decent buff to Sombra as a an individual and a slight nerf to the team value. Overall buff.

The Bastion change is huge and completely changes how he's played. I think it's an overall side grade, but potentially makes him more viable at high SR.

I like the sound of the Sombra changes

Glad to see big changes to bastion. Kind of sad to see Sombra just be lightly touched.

I still think OW would have been a better game if Rienhart was never a hero. Hope they nerf him to the ground and rebuild him

Hopefully these Bation changes will spice things up and more people will play him.

So now he can move, slowly.

Which is... frankly about the same in effect. Orisa all over.

Really like Bastion's changes, actually seems fun to play. Pretty much addresses all my current grievances with him.

Sombra feels like she's an order of magnitude more annoying for Widow to deal with, but other than that looks pretty fun both to play as and to have as a team mate.

Lightly touched ? Her role is pretty much completely different.
She currently is the "build ult fast for team kill" character. She now will be a true stealth disrupter assassin. 80% of her spells have changed...

On topic, the no spread hitscan Bastion sounds a little bit OP. Will need to see the damage and falloff in game.

These Sombra changes... it's already no fun playing against her, so lets make her annoying abilities... better?

Yeah no thanks, the reduction to 1 tank was bad, but I doubt I will even play the game and if these changes go to OW1, I won't play that anymore either.

Once OW2 goes live OW will not longer exist... think of OW2 as OverWatch 2.0... it's a systems patch to the base game and if you buy it you get access to the new PvE content. Kinda like how the pre-expansion system changes goes live before each expansion in WoW.

I get that, but the amount of changes they are making... I'm not going to be doom and gloom, because I'm sure tons of people will buy OW2 and they'll get new players; but out of the 15 people or so on my friends list that actively play OW and we play comp and normal together... none are planning on buying OW2 and will likely stop playing completely when it releases. I'm hesitant about 1 tank, but I honestly don't think I'm interested at all with Sombra getting a buff, it's already easy to kill with her, she is entirely too disruptive already to play against she doesn't need a buff. If Blizz is finding players are having issues playing/winning with Sombra Blizz should put in a tool tip that tells them to essentially get gud and lrn2playclass.

The OW team is starting to remind me of the World of Warships devs. Instead of fixing existing ships that are relics of old game design they just keep introducing new ships that further make the old ships underpowered, but the new ships cost money so it works for them. The entire community is telling them something doesn't work and they just go, well look at this, this is better now. Wouldn't be surprised if they started releasing heroes as paid DLC for OW2, I can feel it coming. And each one will be more broken than the last. They basically do this now with loot boxes, new hero in game, got to get the cool skins, buy loot boxes.

His rate of fire has been greatly reduced to compensate. It's no longer automatic fire, but single shots.

The example video of the new sombra hack concerns me a bit though.
It was VERY briefly she was visible and considering the vast majority of hacks happen not from the front I'm a bit concerned it will be a bit too potent but plenty of time to iron out tuning in any case.

I get where you are coming from... I am looking at the footage of OW2 development and it seems as though they are making the game faster pace... no more double barrier... which let's be honest wasn't much fun to play against and kinda boring to play with. This new shake up with one tank looks like it's going to have everyone be more mindful of cover and two healers have a lot less protection if the DPS don't stick around to protect. No longer will shields allow a group to just bulldoze through chokes. Poke will be king... which moves OW from some of the MOBA aspects to more of a team based shooter.

As for the Sombra changes... I feel that she will become another Tracer that the team will have to be on the look out for... though being locked out of abilities for 1 sec is more like a quick stun than the huge detriment it was before. I don't think it's an overall buff... more like a refocusing of priorities. Being disruptive in the back line fits with her kit but she is still going to have to rely on her team to close the deal. In live if a Sombra got the drop on Ana it's unlikely Ana would walk away... in this new tighter format I feel that a good Ana player would drop a grenade and survive long enough for help to arrive. With Sombra's damage boost that might be wishful thinking but I would be interested to see the outcomes of those type of duels.

Sombra's detection area was doubled and hack only locks out abilities for 1 sec... I don't believe it's going to be as potent as you are currently thinking... yes it will be disruptive but the 50% more damage to hacked targets only benefits Sombra. Keep in mind there is a delay between Sombra fading in and being able to fire... if she hacks from stealth she still has to become visible before unloading on her hacked target.

just being able to hack while sheathed would have been a big enough buff IMO but hey I'd rather they swing hard and dial it back then tweak it a little here and there.

exactly, these changes feel like they made her fit the role she was supposed to fill from the jump.

Yeah sure, but they reduced the range fall off damage (without saying by how much). A hitscan hero without any spread still sounds scary. Obviously dependent on the skill level of the game. (and how the meta will develop with so many changes in OW2)

Yea I know what you mean but it feels like as currently her hacks is good overall to become a menace to healers.
Less potent against lets say tanks with proposed changes but she might become way to quick at killing healers, I was thinking more in the lines of hack from behind on a low hp target that in almost all cases need to turn around and get an aim to themselves be able to counter contra the 40% extra damagee and if that window of time will be balanced enough.
