Quality of Life Improvements
ISLAND EXPEDITIONS: QUEUE SOLO OR WITH A PARTY
Players who want to take on Island Expeditions are now able to queue for them solo or with a party to enter Normal, Heroic, or Mythic difficulties. There are a bounty of awards just waiting to be plundered.

ALLIED RACE UNLOCKS
Allied races such as the Kul’Tiran humans, Mechagnomes, and Dark Iron Dwarves, which had a dungeon requirement to unlock them, will no longer need to complete the associated quest to gain access to these races. Players will be able to skip it instead.

TRANSMOGRIFICATION LINKING
Show off your complete transmog outfit to chat or online by easily sharing a link to it from the Dressing Room. Players will be able to mouse over these items to see how they can be collected, if they’ve already collected the appearance, or if it’s an appearance that is accessible to the character viewing it.

PVP GEAR POWER ADJUSTMENTS
Lower item-level PvP gear will now scale to a higher item-level in PvP situations than before. This should reduce the power level gap so that new characters can feel that they're able to compete in Battlegrounds and Arenas more readily. This change will not affect high item-level PvP gear.

People have short memories if they forgot the "content" update in WoD that gave us a selfie camera.

    Also, anyone? ↓

Mage Tower and Legion Timewalking are "literally content" btw. No matter how irrelevant they both are.
Okay here's another one: Triggered much?

I look forward to revisit the mage tower.

Congrats, you just found that one positive comment. Have a cookie.

I hope people who are so negative about everything that happens with WoW never come back to the game and never write on the forums again either. The last thing the game needs is these people playing more.

I'm looking forward to alt playing improvements, mage tower, legion m+, covenant swapping etc. Been playing a bit less waiting for the patch (just one weekly key pretty much), but I will play more once all the QoL stuff happens.

Two TW questions: Can a Shaman buy the 3000 badges shield, and what happened to the double-bladed sword?

Releasing this 2 weeks before endwalker is a laughable mistake at best.

But since I expected this, cya all in FF!

Yes, they should bow down before competition and tell everyone to play FF on battle.net, even if many of casual player never heard about it before. THAT WOULD BE SMART. Releasing update around same time is "laughable mistake".

    Jesus, this site.

Dunno what keeps me from playing FF more, the shit interface or the overwhelming smugness of its fans.

Yeah, Legion TW stuff shouldn't really be mentioned as a part of this patch if it's not available for such a long time. The minor system changes are all good tho. AoE cap gone, leveling and covenants not being such a pain, good stuff all around.

Honestly, even without bringing FF14 into this, it doesn't really matter at this point from the perspective of how the investor calls go. All Blizz technically needs to do is have some 'positive' metric to use for WoW. Last call, they did a Y/Y comparison to prop up WoW that quarter but it was comparing the quarter in question (which had multiple content releases) to a quarter that had nothing going on... which means nothing in the grand scheme of things, since you should have more player engagement when things get released. As long as Blizz has a bunch of people log in even once for 9.1.5, that pumps up the MAU numbers, regardless if they even play the 9.1.5 patch at all beyond logging in. You can spin this in multiple ways to make everything sound positive, even if the patch becomes a dud. Not saying this is a great thing to do, but it's how to massage numbers to make them say whatever you want.

All that being said, I'd be worried that release 9.1.5 before Endwalker is all about making a positive spin point in the future, not necessarily for the health of the game itself. I'm dubious of their motives due to all the dubious changes and motivations that have been coming out before and after all the lawsuit stuff began. Nothing wrong with wanting to make money, but ignoring/berating your customers and sacrificing the quality of the game to accomplish that is probably wrong in most people's eyes. Most of us (including myself) want WoW to be great and successful, but it almost feels like we're alone in this regard compared to Blizz.

you are aware that people can, and most often do, play both right?

I'm just here to remind everyone that this game has a upfront box price, subscription and cash shop.

Maybe think about that a little bit while you wait a month to be able to play 4 year old content.

Oof, imagine saying this while simping for FFXIV.

    OT:

9.1.5 is sooner than expected, this is nice! Looking forward to trying other covenants.

You do realize mage tower will only be available for 1 week every like 5 months right?

Huh, thought it wouldn't be till like mid-November. At least most of the gameplay fixes are more or less welcome, if not belated.

I can't wait to play content given in this patch every 6 months for a small week. Dunno who thought this was a good idea but he/she should be fired. Spending recourses on something only available for one week every 6 months is beyond ridiculous.
