Patch 9.2 Eternity's End PTR Delayed

Since I didn't understand it the first time I read it --

This means we'll get a dataminable PTR but not a playable one.

Probably delayed it because all of the employees are protesting Bobby Kotick.

9.2 in June.

I honestly have more fun running old raids for mounts and pets at this point than I do playing new content so they can delay it for a year for all I care.

They had no choice, they were already owned by someone else who just got bought. They lost the moment they were bought in 1994, when they were still named Chaos Studios by Davidson & Associates. So this ship sailed before they were even named Blizzard.

So the plan was to release it today but guess it gets delayed for two weeks which is just a coincidence... not sure what of...

If they were concerned about that other thing they wouldn't have let us datamine it early as the only thing in 2 weeks would be bringing the realms up.

I'm just going to throw out a wild guess here, completely random, just of the top of my head, that the PTR was delayed to somewhere around Dec 7th, for no particular reason whatsoever. Just totally random.

Imagine thinking that dev who is writing PTR notes had a say in a deal which was done well over a decade ago. Maybe use at least two brain cells before typing, if you can afford it without compromising your motor functions ofc.

You are likely not far off. They did give everyone the entire week of Thanksgiving off because of the WSJ article.

They can't afford not to, lest they be accused of crunch-time culture.

It's fun to watch the company implode on itself, if only little by little. The only ones I barely feel sorry for are the people who genuinely enjoy doing their work. That is, if any such people still work there.

True, but all in all, "selling out" is not a problem on itself. For the most part, most companies do it at some point when they allow people to buy in, for hte sake of faster growth.

On my field (architecture and construction, which is ridiculously similar to gaming) that happens about every day. Then again, some firms buy other for the sake of taking them out and keep their clients... but many other times companies get a CEO in because he brings capital and resp., so then the company can keep growing and developing. That was the case with Blizzard (after Vivandi)- They had to find money somewhere if they were to keep the high rate of growth WoW was bringing to the table. Money means resources and the posivility to do even greater, be able to fail (essence of success).

But then again, it all comes at a price. Activision´s price was, literally, Bobby Kotick. He has been a cancer ever since day -1. I am certain by now that, with the correct CEO, all the shitstorm going on at Blizzard would have been cut from its roots. But when the leader itself has a backgroun on sexual harrashment cases....

went back to retail and am leveling from 50 ish. havent played my retail main since end of legion so im lost as fuck with the changes to most systems. ill figure out tho. torghast is fun so far. goonna try to learn a few dungeons later tonight. tanking seems a bit more streamlined as a paladin so we will see how bad i can fail thru it.

Barely any chance since raid level patches are on PTR for 3-4 months and 9.2 PTR as yet to come online.
