Solo Shuffle Brawl Gear Scaling

Hello everyone. Thank you for the feedback on this issue. Soon, we will be applying a hotfix that will increase the item level of any item acquired in Shadowlands up to at least 239 while in Solo Shuffle (items above 239 are unaffected by this change). This change will only apply to the Solo Shuffle Brawl due to the unique nature of the game mode.

While we want players to be able to jump into this new experience as soon as possible, a player with extremely low HP is quickly identified as an easy kill target for each round, resulting in a predictable match for all parties involved. We selected item level 239 to allow for gear acquisition and upgrades to still feel like meaningful power progression for a character. We’re interested to hear your feedback after you’ve played a bit with this change.

Nah, I like the ability to dip in to the next difficulty up to grab some gear and help your progression through the raid.

239 compared to most wearing 259+ now and with the massive ilvl gap, the ones in 239 will STILL be the highest target to drop in a few globals.... once again blizzard issues a fraction of a change that pvpers actually want, but miss the whole concept.

if you're coming into the game in 220 greens when the honor blues scale up to 259 you're part of the problem, it takes like one set of weekly honor quests to get higher than 239

    you're just lazy and entitled

No, that wouldnt go over very well. That would piss off everyone.

Give last boss meaningful loot like tier set piece and those top guilds would still be interested in killing him.

Nah bud, like I said. They continue to miss the point and only give the players a fraction of what they want. Don't be stupid. 220 also isn't "greens". Think you need to go review where greens and blues ilvl are

Why? The reason Mythic guilds haven't done the Jailer heroic is because his drops are bad. Gating content in the way you seem to be suggesting does more harm than good, and it would simply be better for Blizzard to incentivize killing the last boss (i.e.: weapon alternatives, tier tokens that can be exchanged for any tier piece from a vendor, etc.).

How did China beat a US, Euro guild at WoW?

Some rigging involved? Boosts and timers?

    Wouldn't be surprised~

...they were the only ones who actually tried.

No top US guild even attempted to kill the Jailer early in the week, because the loot from it isn't great. In particular, it doesn't drop tier gear, which is the defining power gain in this raid. So all the top guilds simply did normal/heroic split runs for tier pieces, and then headed to mythic.

Only now that it's clear the race is brick-walled by Exploding Crabby Boi did Liquid go for Jailer to get some gear for next reset - and they killed it within what, 4 pulls? It's very undertuned, and definitely a letdown. Heroic Anduin is harder.

Would be nice if they dropped the complexity of mechanics and did not release the fights on the beta.

Let every real life player have a chance, instead of the 1% professional gamers...

Then we would see the real world first kills.
