  • A stable has been added next to the Stockade in Stormwind.
  • New encrypted mounts and pets were also added in this build:
    • 1 battle pet using bear cub sounds
    • 1 battle pet using harvest golem sounds
    • 2 mounts using serpert sounds

CROSS-FACTION INSTANCES
  • Players are now able to directly invite members of the opposite faction to a party if you have a BattleTag or Real ID friendship, or if you are members of a cross-faction WoW Community.
  • Premade Groups in the Group Finder listings for Mythic dungeons, raids, or rated arena/RBGs are now open to applicants of both factions, though the group leader may choose to restrict the listing to same-faction applicants if they so choose.
  • WoW Communities now have the option to be cross-faction, while Guilds will remain single-faction.
  • Random matchmade activities like Heroic dungeons, Skirmishes, or Random Battlegrounds will all remain same-faction. [LEARN MORE]

    It’s because they declared “insert name” is free. So all crimes forgiven,planet not dying due to a sword stuck in it, nightelfs no longer on endangered species list.

    I guess that's because Night Elves are on the extinct species list now so they don't need positive development or a revamp ...

    Why is the Siege of Boralus dungeon not cross-faction compatible? Because of the separate portal entrances? I don't get it.

    I don't know why they announce both 9.2.5 and Season 4 so quickly. I guess next expansion is coming faster than expected.

    Because the dungeon is literally different depending on which faction you're doing it on. Like ICC, ToGC etc.

    Anything that changes based on faction, no matter how miniscule, will be unavailable for cross faction grouping.

    If it was, it'd be unlikely to be a minor patch addition. It'd be a prepatch addition if anything.

    It's also only a change to a single spell, and a talent at that. If anything, I'd think it more likely that they're considering giving Fire Nova back to elemental shamans somehow which would require it to be usable with staves and such.

    Ah, I never played it on the Horde side, so I wasn't aware of differences.

    Am I the only one who thinks the new cheetah models are going to be the backbone for another mass update of outdated classic models you can still encounter in the old world, sort of like they did with darkhounds and boars? As a Hunter main I hope thats the case

    To be fair, there a lot of other creatures in the old world that desperately needed a revamped model. Gnolls, Centaurs, Sea Giants, Frost Giants...

    Gnolls especially need it.

    It's probably buried under ancient spaghetti code so we have to wait a bit longer, same with content you queue for. I imagine cross faction guilds etc. are going to be sold to us as an expansion feature, both for the marketing of it and because they actually need time to work it out. Kind of like the OG backpack inventory slot being a mess.



    @All the other stuff in the update, just keep in mind April Fools is in like two weeks so half this stuff (ghostlands, etc.) may be a joke lining up.

    Sadly, but it would be nice if it simply... existed... In the sense where you can use a 2H and retain all your abilities but it's just not cared about. So the DPS would be lower for sure since WF has fixed DMG and everything but you could still use it. Of course, getting a decent weapon for it would be hard since they wouldn't be in our loot tables (and I'm not sure 2H axe/maces actually have an agi options...).

    Um... Hate to burst the bubble, and as much as I want an update on Ghostlands. The mount and the flavor text seem to be placeholders, hence the [PH] next to it.
