Echo Claims World First Mythic Jailer - Sepulcher of the First Ones
Sepulcher of the First Ones has been cleared on Mythic difficulty by Echo! Congratulations to them!
"Mental health" excuse translates to "Our players and whole raid team suck hard".
I don't get this reach. Regardless of the outcome it's impossible to imply that Liquid isn't full of some of the best players in the world. I think it's the event itself that killed their chances at the end. They're good players but they're still gamers, and being outside of their comfort zone for that long is obviously draining. I reckon if they'd cut the event after the first week and continued progression from home they'd have had a better chance of taking the kill.
If the raid wasn't tuned to last until double legendaries then it's likely Liquid would have won, they just didn't have the endurance to push for the extra day to get the kill.

No question, and nobody serious could ever legitimately suggest this wasn't a bad situation for all involved, for so many reasons.
BUT.
Echo was in the same situation. And they DIDN'T crack. Being the best in the world means perseverance, and it means sacrifice. And some people can't or won't go as far as it takes while others will. That's part of being "the best", too.
many of us dont find talent in no-lifeing the hell out of something. the effort you claim is just an insane amount of time with far less actual talent involved.
patience for the rest of the group is the only thing i will commend as most gamers when they spend this much time in game become intolerable asshats.
i would be far more impressed by a 3's or 5's pvp group that hits 2500 without a loss, or even better, see what the 'race' looks like when all the competitors dont spend several months in beta practicing before launch. talent is not the word i would ever use. patient is
And you think these guys wouldn't be on top? lol. Several months Dude you talk this shit as if you know anything, but you literally just gave away that you have no clue how PTR works, let alone what end game raiding in WoW is. I bet you are "Got my KSM!!" - Jimmy the What is an Interrupt?, *ilvl 278* 5months into the patch type of guy. Similar to those guys who are shit talking footballers of their sofa while having a cheap beer and a bag of crisps

Please could you explain how they have had months of ptr practice, when raid testing is done for only a few hours, at set days decided by Blizzard aaand further more the last 3 bosses were never even tested on the ptr. The idea that you think Echo, Limit and whomever else were competing have had months to practice the bosses before they were released is idiotic and completely impossible, unless you have ingested enough tinfoil to the point of you believing they have access to special realms were they get to play everything months before everyone else.
"The guy who invented fire only had to do it once so it wasnt impressive - some of us put new stock on the shelves 4 days a week. Be impressed by me!"
I didn't say impressive. I said special, as in, out of the ordinary. I didn't mean that it wasn't an achievement, I meant that a situation of having to work very hard in a short amount of time isn't something that can't also be found in many other professions.

I'd actually argue against that aswell. 3 weeks of work/sleep repeat constantly in an extremely competitive enviroment with 30k people watching everything you do and judging you - aswell as your boss literally having a camera on everything you do all the time - aswell as everything you do being recorded in miniscule detail and having people go through it combing it for errors?

The audience thing is something else entirely.
But there's plenty of jobs that have grueling crunch-time schedules that relax in between, or even jobs with regular high-intensity shift work. Medical professionals, petroleum industry workers, heck even software developers or people in the financial sector all go through periods of very high work load on a regular basis.

Why is the audience thing something else? I get antsy when a coworker ive worked with for 4+ years stands behind me and watches my screen while i work. Considder having thousands of people doing that - while at the same time typing furiously in chat every time you make a marginal mistake.
And yes - there is plenty of jobs with grueling work schedules. But you left out all the rest of the things.
Because that's not what I was responding to, ergo it wasn't what I was talking about. You can have that conversation, sure, but don't use it to criticize a reply that wasn't about that.

So what you are saying is that if you rule out all the other arguments and only leave the work hours in other jobs exists that are like this one.
ok. I'm not sure what you hoped to achieve by making such a weird statement -but i guess you achieved it.
If you leave out all the other arguments and only look at people wearing shoes - then being the CEO of Microsoft is the same as being an intern - because both wear shoes.

I wasn't making a statement, I was replying to someone's statement. If there's something missing, talk to them. I was only responding to one thing, not to all the other things that may or may not be relevant, too.
Awh man that sucks. Who is forcing you to press the links specifically named "world first" ?
The concept of reality where I don't have power over what other people talk about? Such a hard concept, I know. Certainly above the feeble mind of a peon. It's the same for olympia and other major sports events, these events are in the eye of the public if you want to or not. It's just another layer you need to filter out, so I'm glad when it's over and I don't have to scroll past 3 pages of kill videos or rankins before I get information that is of interest to me. So I clicked on this link to express my joy that it's finally over. No one forced you to click on the respond link either. :P
